“Fuck,” he roars and stands to jump from the bed to wrap the sheet around his waist as he grabs his phone.

“Who are you calling?”

“Royce. There’s more to this. I need to get her out of here for a while.”

“Cane,” I growl.

“Gregor, I’ve got this, and I know she’s too good for me.”

I snort. I never said that. Cane is a good man. He’s just yet to realize it.

“This needs to be handled. Ally can’t cover for her friend a second more, I mean it.”

This gets my attention. I narrow my eyes because it’s clear my brother still isn’t coughing all the details up. However, now I know Ally’s problem is my problem and I’m going to fix it.
