A man bent a woman over, plunging into her from behind while spanking her round ass. She groaned in pleasure as each thrust rocked her.
“Fuck.” Ryker paled and his grip on my hand tightened more.
I didn’t blame him. We were walking through a real-life orgy.
Hands reached out and caressed our legs. A woman grabbed my free hand and winked, trying to pull me onto the large cushion and onto her curvy body.
The pink haze encircled me, enticing, seductive. It had been so long since I let myself relax, since I felt the warm embrace of a lover and let them take me over the edge.
Everything had been chaotic leading up to now—the fights, the diagnosis, the unknown. Every time I felt like I finally got my feet on solid ground, everything shifted. I’d pivoted the soles right off my shoes.
Maybe if I just laid down on the pillows and let these sex fiends have their way with me, I could finally find a sense of calm in this chaotic world.
Ryker tightened his grip on my hand. “We need to get over the river.”
Right now, I needed to get him inside me.
I stumbled.
What a terrible thought. I hated Ryker. He’d tried to use me as a coffee table and made me clean his shoes. He challenged me formythrone, the one thing that could save my life. I despised him.
Didn’t I?
Glancing sideways, I studied the man walking beside me.
“Don’t look at me like that,” he growled.
“Like what?”
“Like you haven’t eaten for days and just stumbled upon an all-you-can-eat buffet.”
Heat wound through my body. “I am hungry.”
His lips twitched. “Stop it.”
“What’s the matter, Ryker? Afraid you might like it?”
“Oh, I’d enjoy every second of fucking you and making you beg for more.” He flashed his teeth at me. “But we need to get out of here first.”
I swiped at my brow and batted a man’s hand away from my crotch. “You think you’re strong enough to resist all of this?” I waved my hand at my body and rocked my hips in the air.
I meant it as a joke, but the fire in Ryker’s gaze froze me on the spot.
“The second we get out of here, Sloane,” he warned. “The second we walk through that gate…” He jabbed his finger in the air to aggressively point at the path ahead.
My feet hit the cold water and splashed up my legs, but the river did little to extinguish the fire raging inside me.
“Tell me,” I said. “Tell me what you want to do to me.”
Ryker pulled me into the hard planes of his body, his gaze dancing like the lick of firelight, his erection pressing into my hip. “Why should I tell you that?”
“Huh?” I swallowed. Blinking didn’t clear the fog in my head.
“Why should I tell you, when I can show you?” Without warning, he pulled me forward and carried me through the waiting pink swirl of a portal.
