“LET’S GO!” I YELL INTOthe house, trying to get everyone into gear. I’ve planned a big day with everyone and sunk a crap ton of money into it, so I want to make use of every moment of this day that we can.
“Yeah, let's go!” Rosie calls out, making me laugh. When I told everyone what we were doing today, Rosie lost her shit. She screamed so loud with excitement and started running around the table like she ate a ten pound bag of sugar.
I wanted to do something special for Sam. He’s been stuck in the house pretty much since I brought him home from the club, only ever leaving a few times. He’s tried to come to the club, but people are just not his thing. And I get that. He hates the idea of someone accidentally touching him.
That's why I’ve rented out the whole San Diego Zoo. Evie and I planned it all out. They open at nine, and we’ve blocked off each section of the zoo for an hour. If we go in order that gives us time to enjoy everything before they open up that part to the public. I wanted to make sure Sam could go without having to worry about being overwhelmed by a bunch of people. This way, it’s only the staff and us to worry about.
When I told Sam the plan, he cried and told me how amazing I was. I told him I just wanted him to experience anything in life that he wants to. And he’s mentioned in the past that he’s never been to a zoo. So here I am, renting the whole zoo just for us because I’ll be fucking damned if I let his past win.
We need to be there by nine, and it’s almost a two hour drive so we’ve all gotten up pretty early. Rosie and I seem to be the only ones bright eyed and bushy tailed this morning. Rosie is in a sundress and matching hat. I’m in shorts and a T-shirt.
The others start to file into the kitchen looking like they are extras from The Walking Dead.
“I love you, but I hate mornings,” Axel mutters as he shuffles over to me.
“I know, and normally, so do I, but today is going to be fun, and he’s going to remember it for the rest of his life,” I say, looking over at my sweet man who has an adorable sleepy smile on his face, as he talks to my equally adorable girlfriend who has her hair tossed up in a messy bun. Still looking hot as fuck, no matter what.
Axel turns to look at him, and I bite my lip at the love shining bright in his eyes when he looks at our boyfriend. Weird to say, ourboyfriend. But it feels right.
“I want this for him. I want him to have things he was never able to experience before.”
“And that's why I set today up,” I tell him, grabbing a cup of coffee. “And look, I made you your own.” I hold it out to Axel.
He looks at the coffee before taking it, then grabs me by the back of the neck, pulling me in for a kiss. I moan into his mouth as he devours mine. He tastes minty and fresh.
“Look at you getting all ‘house wifey’.” He smirks when we break apart.
“Woah, now,” I say. “Take that back.”
“Nope.” He gives me a grin that makes me want to punch him in the nuts. “Now, I just need to see you in an apron making me a sandwich.” I can tell by the look on his face he’s joking, but that just won’t fly.
“You lost this,” I tell him, snatching the coffee out of his hand.
“What? Hey!” he protests as I dance over to Neo with a laugh. “Here,” I tell Neo, giving him a kiss on the cheek.
“Thank you, my Queen,” he tells me, giving me a just as heated kiss as Axel’s. “Are you sure we can’t bring Mr. Bacon?” he pouts.
“No.” I laugh. “We’re going to a place full of animals, we don’t need to bring our own. He will be fine in the backyard with Susie and Bob.”
“Not if that devil duck is back there with him,” he snarks, looking over to Rosie who has Daisy in her arms.
“We will put them in separate pens. It will be fine.”
“She finds a way. She’s like fucking Chucky,” he whines.
“Like the doll?” I ask, raising a brow.
He just narrows his eyes at me before going over and scooping up Mr. Bacon and bringing him outside. Rosie starts to follow, and they are already in an argument about their pets.
Rolling my eyes, I go to greet the rest of my lovers. “Morning, Daddy,” I purr, wrapping my arms around the back of Dean’s neck.
“You love calling me that, don’t you?” he questions me, trying to look annoyed by it.
“And you love it.” I smirk back, biting my lip. He can try to deny it, but the dominant part of him loves it, and he hasn’t been trying that hard when it comes to hiding the heat in his eyes. “Have you been to the zoo before?”
“When we were kids, but not since then.”
“Really?! That’s a shame. Evie and I go at least once a year.”
