It was like he could see right through me, like he knew exactly how dry my throat had become. It was like he knew how badly I wanted to sit on his lap and hear him whisper that he knew exactly what calling me princess did to my body.

He couldn’t though, couldn’t know that I was barely holding onto sanity as his fingers stroked along my tightly clasped hands white knuckling one another.

I glared at him, “It makes me uncomfortable.”

“I think you mean it turns you on, and I don’t know that I’m willing to let that go...princess.”

“It does not.”

He chuckled, “Don’t lie to me, precious, it’s okay. I like that I can turn you inside out with a word.”

“That’s rude.”

“You just don’t like being on display.”

I laughed, if only he knew exactly how much I liked being on display. I wretched my hands closer to me, fisting them in my lap.

“You’re right,” he smiled, “You do like being on display, don’t you? You proved that just the other day.”

I cleared my throat, “I don’t think we should talk about that here.”

“Why not? No one can hear us. Jason and your lovely friend, Az, are busy.”

I didn’t know that I wanted to touch the tone shift when he said Azure’s name. Since I had enough on my plate with Don in front of me, I ignored it. He leaned back in his seat, slinging an arm over the chair behind him with his legs spread gently.

The pose had my throat constricting on a whimper that I refused to let out. His knowing smirk said it didn’t matter what I did to hold in my reactions to his body, he knew well enough.

“Why don’t we play a game, princess?”

“That seems ill advised.”

He cocked his head, watching me, “Does it?”

“Yes,” I scoffed, “It seems you’re a little too cocky for your own good already today.”

He didn’t say anything, just waited for me to agree or break down, I assumed, but when I didn’t, he just waited. And waited until I was squirming in my seat, a flush building in my chest. I could feel it filling my face.

“Fine, what kind of game?”

“If I win, I am allowed to replace your shift with whomever, whenever the fancy strikes me. No questions asked.”

“And if I win?” I laughed, “What could possibly be equal to that?”

Don lifted his shoulder in a lazy shrug, “Whatever you’d like.”

“Anything?” I crossed my arms, “Anything I want?”

“The world is yours for the taking, princess. All you have to do is ask.”

“Even if it means you have to stop calling me that?”

His lips twisted, a silent chuckle shaking behind his chest, “Even so, but I don’t think that’s what you’ll be asking for.”

“Fine.”

He raised a hand for me to shake. I rolled my eyes, grasping his hand in mine.

“The rules of the game are simple: by the end of the night, I’m going to make you cum without touching you,” he smiled at the small noise that came out of my throat. “And when I do, you’ll just have to enjoy your nights off because there will be many in the future.”

“And if I win-”

“You won’t.”

“When I win, I’m going to bank that promise.” I grit through my teeth, “No ifs ands or buts about it.”

“As you wish.”

But the electric feeling between my legs and zipping up my clit didn’t make me feel very confident in my desire to win and damn if that didn’t grate on my nerves just a little bit.
