Once we’re done she walks back over to the closet, pulling the black dress she’s picked out for me. It’s a sleeveless form fitting dress that cuts down low into a V right between my breasts and the back dipped down to right above my waist line. The bottom of the dress fits snug against my body coming mid thigh.

Looking to my feet my heart sinks, there is no fucking way in hell I’m wearing heels with this dress. Miranda must sense my hesitance, as she scurries off to the closet again returning with a single boot, with no heel coming up to my midcalf, same as the medical boot.

“I don’t even remember having these.” I tell her in a bit of shock. “It’s perfect.”

She helps me to put them both on, before standing to leave the room.

“Your father wanted me to remind you to stay in the room until someone comes for you.” she tells me before hurrying out, shutting the door behind her. Once again I feel like a princess locked up in the castle away from everyone. My solitude doesn’t last long before the door is swung open, not even an attempt to knock and wait for entrance to be granted.

“Well the stripper cleans up good. Time to go, so come on and don’t expect me to carry you around like my brother did.” The doublemint twin I now know as Maxwell beckons out to me, moving his arm in the ‘come on’ motion people do when they want you to hurry the hell up.

Standing up slowly, I begin to make my way across the room. Just as I pass by him to exit out of the door, he places his hand on my shoulder, halting me in my steps as he leans in, placing his mouth by my ears.

“If you’re smart you’ll listen to everything I tell you tonight and do as I say. Don’t be a brat if you know what’s good for you.” he gruffly says before releasing my shoulder to give a light forward push toward the doorway.

I can literally feel his breath on my neck as we move down the hallway towards the stairs. Why he just doesn’t move past me if I’m taking too long, I don’t understand. When I get to the top of the steps, I lose my footing somehow and begin to tumble forward. All I see in my head as I begin to fall is death, the answer to my prayers, but before I can plunge forward to my freedom, a large arm wraps around my waist pulling me back to safety.

“Now, now, we wouldn’t want you falling to your death before the big event would we. I have a feeling it’s going to be explosive when it happens.” Maxwell lips graze my ear as he tells me, had that been any of my men my body would be alive with electricity, but he does nothing for me. It’s almost like my body rejects him.

I gradually descend the stairs being sure to place my feet securely on each step, as I hold onto the banister. Maxwell once again follows behind closely, like he’s acting in the role of a protector. Guess he’s following Daddy's orders.

Stepping off the last step, I’m immediately greeted by the presence of my father and Alexander as they step into the foyer, both dressed in all black.

“Ahh there she is, my beautiful fiancé. I’ve been out shopping today as I feel we should make this official.” He steps towards me reaching out and taking my left hand in his while slipping a ring onto my finger. “A beautiful ring for my beauty.” He gives me a smile, but it’s one for show not from the heart.

I look down at the huge rock on my finger and I admit it's beautiful, but not one a man who loves me would choose for me. It’s not my style.

“Come, let’s head to the car.” Alexander announces, placing the palm of his hand on the small of back as he steers me towards the front door, opening and allowing me to pass in front of him as he trails behind me.

The ride to the restaurant was long and uneventful. My father and Alexander talked nonstop about some upcoming business deal, which surprisingly is one other than me. The whole time I sat, staring out the window or at my hands in my lap, I felt two sets of eyes on me. Looking up, I see the twins staring intently at me, never once looking away when I catch them.

“Ahh perfect, we're arriving right on time.” I hear my father announce, as the driver pulls up in front of the restaurant. “We have the entire party room booked just for us tonight for such a momentous occasion.” he continues in an excited voice.

“Yes it is, I have a beautiful fiancé, you are debt free, and I have her cleared test results, which means tonight I get to fuck your daughter. It’s a glorious night.” Alexander says as I snap my neck around towards him, feeling the color drain my face.

“Well, it truly is a night for celebration.” my father says, with a shifty look on his face as he opens the door and steps out into the evening air.

Alexander slides out behind him, followed by the twins who were seated directly across from us, while I follow in the rear. Alexander immediately places his hand once again on the small of my back, directing to the front door of the restaurant like a doting man to the woman he loves.

As soon as weenter through the door, Alexander grips me tighter to him, calling out to a man standing by the Maitre’ D's podium.

“Alessandro, I’m so pleased to see you could join us tonight. I was saddened to hear the news of your father’s passing. I’m sure you’ve been preoccupied with the changes to come. Let me introduce you to my beautiful fiancé.” Alexander beams with pride. Guess I’m also going to be the cliche trophy wife.

“Ahh, yes so much business to handle with my father’s passing. Fiancé, congratulations you sly bastard, she’s quite a beauty and you’ve kept her tucked away from us. I can’t wait until you introduce her at the club.” he says as he leers at my body.

“If you’re ready, I can take you all back. Most of the members of your party are already here and waiting for your arrival.” the Maitre’d announces. She’s a beautiful girl, tall and slender with long wavy blonde hair that hits just above her waist. She’d be more beautiful in my opinion if she toned the make up down a few notches.

She turns making her way to the back of the restaurant, where I see a wall of windows with white curtains hanging in them with glass Victorian doors. I do a double take because I see a waiter across the room who looks vaguely familiar. Not being able to place him, I assume he must be someone I went to high school with or seen around town when I was younger.

Entering the room behind my father and Alexander, I see a number of men, most with women on their arms, standing around drinking and laughing amongst each other.

My father clears his throat before he begins to speak in a deep, loud voice, garnishing everyone's attention.

“Ladies and gentlemen, may I do the honor of officially announcing the engagement of my daughter to a man I’m honored to call my son in law,” He laughs for a moment before continuing. "Even though he’s the same age as me. Please congratulate Alexander and Arianna, may they live a long and happy life together.” The room erupts in rounds of people calling out congratulations. I simply step further and further back, wanting to escape, but not being able to.
