"No," I answered. "I'm not going to let you get killed."

Calix pulled out of my arms and headed for the door. Damn it. I didn’t want to have to resort to drastic measures, but Calix wasn’t going to listen. And I had to stop him before he got himself killed.

"Baby, don't walk out that door," I said slowly. "You won't like what I have to do."

"I'm not scared of you," Calix called. "You can either go with me and kill some assholes or I'll do it myself."

Sighing, I wiped a hand down my face. He clearly wasn't going to listen to reason. I walked over to my nightstand and pulled out a syringe. I bit the cap off, tapped out any bubbles, and went after him. He would be pissed when he woke up, but no one said being a Daddy was easy.

I marched after him. Calix was already halfway down the stairs, but the minute we reached the ground floor I struck. I held him against my body and stuck the needle in his neck.

"What the fu-" Calix swayed. "Gabriele, you asshole."

He slumped and I caught him in my arms. "Sorry, baby but you need to cool off for a little while." I looked up to see Six staring at me.

"Oh you are losing your fucking mind, man," Six groaned. "Really? Drugging your boyfriend?"

I shrugged. "I'm just doing my job?" I said slowly.

Six rolled his eyes. "I'll help you get him upstairs. You're lucky I like you."

I grinned. "We're back to being friends?"

"As long as you hide the fact that I slipped Ama's guards today? Sure."

"Shit. You're trying to get me murdered by two people in this house?" I sighed. It wasn't like I had a choice. "Fine."

We carried Calix back upstairs and tucked him into bed. He mumbled in his sleep, but he didn't wake up. I stroked the hair from his face and tucked it behind his ear.

"We'll talk about this later," I whispered. "I leaned down and brushed a soft kiss against his lips. When I straightened up, Six sat on the other side of the bed grinning at me. "Shut up. I need to go out."

"I'll keep an eye on him," Six said. "Pretty sure the guards are going to spill what I did anyway so I might as well have a safe place to hide out."

I shook my head. "Don't be a bad influence on my boy." I stood up and gathered my things. "Call me if anything happens. Shoot me a text every few hours just because."

Six smiled. "You really do love him, huh?"

I gazed down at Calix's sleeping face. "You have no idea." I let my fingers linger on his cheek before I gazed up at Six. "If anything happens to him-"

He waved a hand. "Yeah, yeah I know how you Bianchi's are. I'll lose a hand or get some bones broken or something else...creative," he said as he rolled his eyes. "Get out of here."

I grinned at Six. "Thanks."

He nodded and I turned around. The smile that had been on my face faded away as I grabbed my guns and headed for the door.

Someone had to pay for hurting my boy. And I had a feeling that his name was Andrei.

"Get him!"

The cry that came behind me made me move twice as fast. If they caught me, they were going to be all too happy to duplicate what I'd done to their fallen comrade and I had a thing about men being near my dick with knives. Sometimes double standards were a good thing.

Gunshots rang out and I panted as I slammed my back up against a stone wall. These assholes really like to hide out in scuzzy areas. First a crap hole bar and now a dank warehouse. The smell of mold and wetness was so thick I could choke on it, but I didn't have time to take in the surroundings. Gunfire picked up again and I slipped up a set of metal stairs.

There weren't many of them in the warehouse, but a few morons with guns was dangerous. But I was worse. The irritation I'd felt a few days ago had only grown. I was going to have to go back and deal with Calix after this too and he wasn't going to be happy with me.

Better make up for it the best I can.
