Just then he walks into the kitchen, and the girls all squeal. Erika looks at him head to toe. “You guys hired a stripper?”
Alaric throws up his hands. “Woah there. Slow down. I’m just the driver.” He looks over to me. “Are you guys ready to go?”
I glance at my phone and see it is 9:30 on the dot. Just like Alaric to be perfectly punctual.
I nod. “Alright everyone ready? Everyone has their IDs, emergency cash, and their cell phones?” The girls all double check and put their shoes on. Erika is already a little tipsy from the few drinks she’s had. “Wait! We have to do one more round of shots before we leave!”
I look over to Alaric. “Care to pour them out?”
He leans down and whispers in my ear. “You sure you want me to do that? I look pretty sexy pouring shots. They might not be able to resist.”
I roll my eyes and pat his stomach. “Just pour the drinks.”
???
We pull up to the bar and Alaric drops us off. He rolls down the window. “I’m going to go park. I’ll be at the bar if you need me.”
I sarcastically say back, “Oh really? You aren’t going to be attached to my hip to make sure everything is okay?” He just rolls up the window and drives away.
We all head in and head straight to the bar to get a drink. We are all already feeling tipsy because of the drinks we had before we got here. Of course, Erika calls for more shots to go with our drinks. After we all have a drink in our hand we head for the dance floor. We all dance with each other and occasionally with different guys.
When we all want to take a break, we head over to some of the tables near the bar and rest our feet. Jess pulls out her bachelorette game and hands each girl a card. Kelly reads hers first. “Take a selfie with the bartender.” We all boo. I look over at Jess.”Why’d you give her such an easy one?”
Jess laughs. “Well, if everyone completes their cards, then we can do a second round.”
Kelly quickly runs over to the bartender and takes a photo with him. She comes back over with a smile on her face. “Done!”
Jess gets the card that says to dance with a stranger wearing a blue shirt. We all laughed as the only guy wearing a blue shirt in the bar was this huge body builder type. Erika had to take a shot off of a guy’s lap, and Angela had to dance on a table.
It is my turn to read a card. I grab my card and before I flip it over, I look over at Jess. “Why does it seem like these cards are progressively getting more difficult?”
She looks at the box and then laughs. “Oh, it does say that the cards get steamier as the night goes on.” I laugh and shove her shoulder. “C’mon you could have told us ahead of time so I could have gone first.”
She just laughs. “Just read the card. If you finish it, then we can make Kelly go again.”
I flip the card over and read it. “Kiss any guy your friends choose.”
I glare back up at all of them. “Oh c’mon! You’ve got to be kidding me.”
The girls all start scanning the bar for a good target. I get up. “I’m getting another drink while you choose. I have a feeling I’m going to need it for this.”
When I get back to the table, there is some douchey looking dude hanging around. I can hear his cheesy pickup lines from across the bar. When I get back to the table and sit down, I quietly say to Angela. “Don’t even think about choosing him.”
She gets a huge grin on her face. “Oh don’t worry. We already chose your target.”
Oh great. This sounds like it’s going to be just wonderful. Angela tells the guy to get lost, and then they all look back at me. I roll my eyes. “Alright. What loser did you pick? Let me just get this over with.”
Angela smirks but doesn’t say anything, so I look over to Erika. I know she is dying to tell me. She gets all happy and bounces in her seat. Then she just blurts out. “Alaric! You have to go kiss Alaric!”
My mouth drops open, and I just stare back at them. Then I shake my head. “No way. No fucking way. Choose someone else.”
Erika pouts. “C’mon Em! You have to!”
I shake my head again. “Are you guys crazy? He’s my dad’s friend. Not to mention my boss.”
Angela pipes up. “Not to mention super sexy.”
I roll my eyes at her. “C’mon guys. You can’t be serious?”
