Page 84 of Dangerous Love

I wrapped myself around her, my love for this woman stronger than any other human bond. I pressed my lips across her forehead. “I love you more than words can say. I loved you before, but I love you even more now. When I thought I’d lose you, nothing else mattered. I didn’t care whether I lived or died, because a life without you isn’t worth living.” I held her as she cried against my chest, the blend of her perfume and body heat soothing my whole being at once. “It’s over.”

She glanced up at me. “What’s gonna happen now?”

“The club will clean house, and as far as the world is concerned, Hal and his bodyguard have gone into hiding. End of story.”

“Wow. Is Trey gonna be okay?”

I nodded. “He’s in charge of both clubs as Hal’s eldest, but he’ll put an end to them when the dust settles.”

Sienna’s smile lit up her beautiful face, her relief surrendering to the universe. “So, it’s really over?”

I ran a thumb over her cheek. “Yes, baby girl. It’s really over.”

“Just me and you?”

“Just me and you.” I pressed my lips over hers, relinquishing all of my fears and pain to the love of my life nestled in my arms. “And the rest of our days together.” Then, I took her hand and walked her away from my father’s lair once and for all. Because from this day onwards, for her, I’d never be anyone but Riley Williams.

Epilogue

Sienna

6 Months Later

Riley was as gorgeous as ever with a guitar in hand as he sat on stage. My heart fluttered like a teenager when he winked at me in front of the crowd. They whistled as if we’d been caught naked. I closed my eyes, my body stiff from Riley’s lovemaking this morning. Since moving in together, the newfound privacy had given us the sex drive of the Energizer Bunny. And I fucking loved every minute of it.

My inner thighs throbbed as I pictured his mouth trailing my flesh, his fingers torturing my sweet spot. I smiled to myself, counting the minutes before my man was backstage, his tense body in great need of a little baby-girlspecial. I ran my tongue over my lips, the phantom salty taste teasing me. Like he could read my thoughts, Riley smirked before his fingers switched to a new tune on his guitar, his angelic voice singing the lyrics ofoursong.

There’s nothing that will keep me away from her.

Not a man, not a war, not a million dollars.

She fills me up like liquid gold.

My heart’s lost without her.

There’s nothing that will keep me away from her.

She’s my heart, my love, my forever.

I fought the tears welling behind my eyes, my heart pumping. I kissed my knuckle and blew it towards him.

“God, evenIwant a guy to sing to me like that,” my brother whispered in my ear.

I chuckled. “Shut up, Avery,” I teased. “He’s mine. You have your own on the other side of the restaurant.”

He kissed my cheek. “Kidding, Shorty. His ego’s too big for my type. He’s all yours.”

I pointed to the fresh bandage around Riley’s forearm. “Did Jarryd fix whatever he needed to fix?”

None of us ever mentioned the Cooper crest branded on his arm anymore, but I knew deep down, it was a tough pill for Riley to swallow.

“Pretty sure.” He squeezed my hand. “Gotta get back out there, or Grace will kill me.”

I waved my brother goodbye and rushed backstage before the end of the show. I wanted to be ready for when Riley settled into the sofa with a cold Sprite, a clean shirt, and his pants halfway down his thighs. I dimmed the lights, fluffed up the cushions, and sat upright against the chaise. Legs crossed and lip gloss on, I was as ready as could be to give my man the relaxation he needed after a big show.

The door crashed open. And I smiled when Riley finally stepped in, his shirt drenched with sweat. He yanked it above his head and used the damp material to wipe his brow. I patted the seat next to me, and he grinned as he settled in. “Baby girl, stay away. I reek.”

I kissed him. “I like it when you reek. You smell like a real man.”
