“Where did your friends go?” I ask, ignoring his comment for now.

“They’re staying in my room. Franny was getting tired and I think they wanted to continue their discussion in private, so I got them set up,” he explains, stretching his arms above his head and yawning.

“Yeah, bed sounds like a great idea,” I say, giving Jade’s hand a gentle squeeze.

“Oh yeah I’m beat. Jace you don’t mind if I bunk with you tonight do you? Otherwise we have to go all the way across town…” she says and I have to bite my lip to keep from smiling at her bad acting.

“Don’t worry kitten, I’ll go back to the apartment and make sure that Mila hasn’t burnt it down or thrown a wild party,” Darius comments, walking over to Jade and giving her a gentle kiss on the lips.

“Thank you,” she says as soon as he steps away.

“Fuck,” Bellamy says as soon as Darius zooms out of the office.
