He smiles at me, kisses my cheek, and turns to walk away, but I grab his arm.
“Actually, Hunter is still sleeping. So maybe—”
He gives my ass a tight squeeze. “Get to the guest room. Now.”
Mm. I love when he takes control.
“And then what?” I ask innocently.
He leans in, whispers all sorts of filthy things in my ear, then smacks my ass. “Go.”
God, I love my life.
Nick’s fingers roll through my hair. “Thank you,” he whispers. “For supporting me.”
“It’s our future, baby. I want it to be incredible for all of us.”
“Speaking of our future. There’s one thing we didn’t talk about.”
“Oh?” I ask, playing coy.
He brushes his fingers over my hand, then interlaces them with mine. “When you want a ring on that finger.”
I smile softly and say the truth, “Not any time soon. I’m excited for Maia and Vince, and I’m sure it won’t be long for Brett and Jenna. I love you so much, and I love how our relationship has grown, but I’m in no rush. I want to keep building our relationship. I want to date you—I know that might require some creativity and flexibility to do that regularly, but it’s important. There’s so much I want us to do before we takethatstep.”
He leans over and kisses my neck. “That’s such a good answer. Don’t get me wrong, I would marry you tomorrow, Señorita, but I want to build our relationship even stronger too.”
“Just know I love you the same, no matter what. Ring or no ring. I’m not going anywhere.” I give a mischievous smile. “I promised, after all.”
“Yes, you did.” He kisses me again and my brain fills with cotton candy fluff.
“Hunter still isn’t up. Want to press our luck?” I mumble.
He moves so his body is flush against mine. “I want topressa lot of things.”
“Then what are you waiting for?” I sass.
“You,” he says, dramatically rolling onto his back. “I’m all yours, Señorita.”
Damn straight he is. And he always will be.
