“Ah, ah, not on my watch.” I tut, and Cole laughs when Josh flips me off and goes to kiss Aimee again, but I throw another cushion at them, and he glowers at me.
“Cole, control your woman.”
“Welcome to my world, bro.” Cole drawls, nuzzling my neck while his hand rubs and squeezes my thigh. “I’m married, and I still can’t get any.” He groans, pouting when I pull away, and looks into my eyes. “I’m going to get that kiss, Mrs Hoult.”
“Keep dreaming Mr Hoult,” I whisper back as he stares longingly at my lips before I get off his lap and pull Aimee off Josh, who tries slapping me away while I pry her out of his lap. “You’ll thank me later.” I sing as I pull her to the kitchen to get some drinks for us.
“I knew that idea would come back and bite me in the arse one day,” Aimee complains, pulling her golden hair up into a messy bun.
“Listen, Cole and I have to go out on a date this week, and I was wondering if you and Josh will come too? I’m thinking of winter wonderland?” I suggest, and Aimee frowns, leaning on the island in the kitchen.
“Sure, but shouldn’t you be alone? Isn’t that the whole point of the dating thing?” She questions curiously, resting her head in her hand as she watches me open a bottle of wine.
“Yes, but there’s also a lot of pressure and sexual tension between us, which I think having you and Josh with us will ease some of the strain, you know?” I explain, handing her a glass of white wine, and she nods.
“Yeah, count us in. I love Christmas time. It’s such a magical time of year.” Aimee sighs with a smile but frowns when I look at her blankly. “What? It is.”
“Since when have you loved Christmas? You’re our holiday grinch, remember?” I state with a grin, and she slaps my arm.
“Yes, because I was all alone year after year. You try and make merry when you’re horny and alone during the holiday season.” I laugh, shaking my head as we walk out of the kitchen back toward the boys.
“Why must all your woes begin and end with your vagina?” I question, amused, and she bumps her hip with mine as we walk.
“Because she’s the fucking star of my show bitch.” I laugh, shaking my head. She’s honestly impossible.

Two days later,on Saturday morning, I woke up early while Cole and Alaia were sleeping and went out to get Christmas supplies to decorate our house. As it’s Alaia’s first Christmas and our first as a family, I wanted it to be special. I had Gerald help me haul in the twelve-foot Douglas fir Christmas tree in the huge bay window in our living room.
“What is all this?” I hear Cole chuckle as he walks into the living room, holding our daughter in his arms and a grin on his handsome face.
“It’s our first Christmas!” I chirp excitedly, gesturing to all the decorations. “And we are going to do it right, Lord Hoult.” Cole walks over to me, smiling as he looks up at the large Christmas tree in our living room.
“Wow, that’s a lot of stuff. We only ever had a professionally decorated tree growing up in the foyer of the house.” Cole states, rubbing Alaia’s back as he looks at me, his green eyes alight with excitement.
I frown, “You did celebrate Christmas growing up, right?” I ask, and Cole nods with a smile.
“Yeah, we did, but it was all very traditional and proper.” He chuckles when my face falls, and I frown.
“So…boring?” I utter dryly, and he laughs with a shrug. “Wow, okay. I’m going to show you the Shay way of doing Christmas, Cole Hoult.” I say and push a button, and All I want for Christmas starts playing loudly through the speakers. Cole laughs when I plop a Christmas hat on his head and a mini one on Alaia’s head. “Oh my goodness, don’t you two just look adorable.” I coo, kissing Alaia’s hand, and she smiles back at me.
“Wait,” Cole mumbles, picking up a hat and putting one on my head before he grins, nodding. “Stunning.” He adds charmingly while looking into my eyes. We lay Alaia in her bouncer beside us while we decorate the tree together while singing along to the Christmas songs. Cole grabs me and wraps me up in tinsel and laughs when I throw baubles at him, and he bats them away.
“I’m thinking we can have a lot of fun with this tinsel.” Cole drawls sexily, wrapping the tinsel around my neck and tugging me closer to him.
“Mm, I may be inclined to agree,” I smile up at him playfully as he leans in to kiss me. “But we can’t,” I add, pulling his hat over his eyes and duck under his arm, jumping away when he tries to catch me. With a groan, he crawls over to Alaia, watching us, those gorgeous green eyes all big while she gazes at all the colours around her.
“Princess, what am I going to do with your naughty mummy, hm?” Cole questions, picking her up and kissing her cheek. “She won’t kiss me, so I’ll have to give you my kisses instead. Kiss Daddy, and let’s make her jealous.” He grins, brushing his nose over hers, and Alaia giggles. I watch them as I hang baubles on the tree. “You like that?” Cole chuckles when she smiles adoringly at him. “You really are like your mummy, aren’t you? You’re just the cutest, happiest girl ever.” He laughs, kissing her nose. I love watching them together. It’s truthfully the most beautiful feeling in the world and fills my heart with such love, watching the way Cole’s eyes light up when he looks at her. Cole catches me watching them, and he holds my gaze and gestures me over to them. “Come here, sweetheart.” I hang the bauble I had in my hand on the tree and walk over to them. Cole pulls me down on the floor with them and wraps his arm around me, pulling me close.
I look into his eyes as he gazes into mine, “All I want for Christmas is you.” He whispers, brushing his fingers through my hair. I close my eyes when he presses his lips to my forehead.
God, I love him so damn much.
“Just for Christmas?” I ask with a teasing smile, and he grins, shaking his head.
“I don’t know. I may keep you a little longer; we’ll see.” Cole groans, laughing when I elbowed him lightly in the ribs.
“I hate you.” I sigh cheerfully, laying my head on his shoulder and looking at Alaia, who coos at us.
