“And a date with me.”

Ollie rolled her eyes and smiled. “A date with you at a food truck festival.”

“Should I pick you up?”

“I’m still not sure you’re not a serial killer, so no.”

Jackson snorted. “Do I get your number instead?”

“That seems less dangerous, so yes.” She nodded and rattled off her number. As she washed her hands her phone beeped in her back pocket and she looked back at Jackson.

He held his hands up with a smirk. “I had to make sure you weren’t giving me a fake number.”

“You’re ridiculous,” Ollie laughed and waved him off.

“Thanks for tonight, Oleander,” he told her, pocketing his phone as he moved backwards to the kitchen doors with a smile. “I’ll see you this weekend.”

“Good night, Jackson.”

He winked and stepped out through the swinging doors, leaving Ollie alone in the kitchen for a moment. Her phone beeped again and she fished it out of her pocket to find two text messages waiting from Jackson.

Unknown:Please let this be you.
