“Well, your fiancé is definitely glowing. Maybe that’s what you’re referring to. I mean we were only apart for what a month and now you’re engaged and about to become a dad already. That’s definitely a glow-up for sure.”
“Sounds like a cliff notes for how to screw and get over on people while making them think you want them for life. But that’s just my opinion.” Brianna sips her wine and I know the love is still not there.
“See, Brianna, I knew you would say something. I only wanted to come over and be cordial, but you always have to say something and poke your nose in other people business. That’s why you can’t get a man.”
“I have a man, thank you. And Myka has moved on from your tired ass so just scoot away with your little pregnant h-,”
“Bri!” Another outburst and this time with an up and coming artist in the center of it all. I stand, pull out a few hundred dollar bills from my mad stash, drop it on the table and leave before we are escorted out and possibly banned.
I offer my apologies on the way out and they follow still bickering. Even his new girl is trying to get him to stop participating in the back and forth. When we are away from prying eyes, I let them both have it.
“You know what you two should be ashamed of yourselves. I’m not with him anymore, so Bri, you can stop with all the anger.”
“No, he hurt my bestie and then flaunted miss thing all on the news like you never existed and I had to see that look on your face. Simon tried to turn the TV to spare you, but you insisted, loudly might I add, that he leave it alone and turn it up. This sack of shit hurt you and he needs to know.” She squares up to him and he looks away.
She’s right. Cornelius did hurt me, but I feel nothing about it anymore. It was over before it was over, I think we both just tried to hold on to some fantasy and idea of what we were supposed to do. But closing that door allowed me to open up the possibilities of being with another. Someone who would actually value me for me. And in one night, Simon erased the pain I felt from how I found out what I already knew.
“Simon? Is he your new boyfriend?”
“What’s it to you if he is?”
“I knew something was going on with you two the moment I met him.”
“Not that I owe you an explanation or anything, but there was nothing between Simon and I until you left. And for that I thank you. Now, if you will excuse us, Bri and I have a meeting with Osiris to get them ready for their world tour. You know, global not local.” I blow him a kiss, put on my Ray-Ban shades and sashay my ass to my car with Brianna close behind laughing her marvelous ass off.

SIMON
“Hello there, blokes. What a lovely day it is here in the City of Angels. Am I right?” I don’t believe I have ever had such a cheerful demeanor when coming into a meeting. Not to mention I am actually on time.
Everyone glances at their watches and then back to me in disbelief.
“What the hell has gotten into you?” Mickey says aloud.
“More like what did he get into.” Styx adds.
They all laugh, except my brother. I think he may know, but at the same time, he may be upset.
“Come on gents. Just because I’m in a good mood doesn’t mean a chippie is behind it.”
“For you it does,” Styx continues.
“Bloody hell. Simon is just seeing how things are going and he’s happy. Drop all the innuendo’s and let’s get on with our meeting. I’m sure the label has better things to do than to listen to you talk about what may or may not have happened with Simon’s latest libido conquest.” Sebastian is a bit snarly with his comment bringing the mood down considerably.
I don’t feed into the fodder either. I let them think what they want and focus on the reason why we are gathered. Taking the folder in front of me, I scan over the documents taking note of the cities we will be traveling to and the pre-planned dates. The album release was just a pre kick-off to tour season, as we call it, but now the real tour kickoff begins.
The tour manager and Lenny come in and stop in their tracks when they spot me.
“Hell must’ve frozen over,” Lenny quips as he takes his seat.
“Not that I would know because I am in heaven, actually.” I respond.
“Someone better alert Myka to a potential new outbreak of paternity suits.”
I go to respond but the door swings open and there she is.
Myka Johnson, the woman who has managed to tame the wild child in me. The one who no more than two hours ago drove her nail deep within my back as I filled her with every inch of my cock. Whose skin is as soft as a petal from a rose and her body smells just as sweet. Her nectar even sweeter.
