"Well," I say, raising my mug to them. Cass walks into the room, now changed for the day. "Mazel Tov."

"What are we celebrating?" she asks, coming up behind me in the kitchen.

"Oh, your brother and I had a lot of sex last night," Stephanie says, and I have to admit, she's growing on me.

"Oh, great," Cass says, not missing a beat. "Congrats, C. Steph. I'm happy to hear it."

"No," Chris is shaking his head. "Nope. We aren't talking about sex with my little sister. Not going to do it."

"Oh, Christopher," she teases. "I'm not that little anymore. You know I have sex now too."

I almost choke.

"No. Stop it.” He clasps his hands over his ears.

Steph starts laughing. "Do tell, Cass. With whom?"

"No-one," Chris says, shooting her a look. "My sister is not having sex with anyone and I don't want to talk about this anymore."

Cassidy rolls her eyes.

"Just a guy I know," she says, ignoring her brother.

"That guy you've been hanging out with? What's his name? Dean?" Steph says.

"Drew. And no. I'm not sleeping with Drew." Cassidy smirks. "It's...someone else."

I wasn't sure that she hadn't slept with that guy, so I am relieved to hear her confirm. Chris, on the other hand, is still uncomfortable with this entire conversation and Stephanie is loving making him squirm. She watches him as she continues grilling Cass.

"So, how is the sex?"

Cass also watches the horror on her brother's face as he drops his head into his hands. The two girls look at each other and giggle.

"It's amazing. Honestly, I didn't know sex could be like that."

"He must be hot," Steph goads.

Cass shoots me a glance and I can't help but smile.

"Please stop. Cass, don't say another word or I will tell your mother," Chris says.

"You will 'tell my mother'?" She laughs. "What are you? Fifteen years old? Besides, Mom knows I've had sex. She put me on the pill like five years ago."

"I can't deal with this. I hate you both. Let's go."

He walks out of the room, but Cassidy can't help but get one more in.

"To answer your question," she says to Stephanie. "He's pretty much a god."

I flash her a devilish grin and give her butt a little squeeze before I follow them out the door.

After a few runs on smaller hills, we find the ski lift to a black diamond run. Chris and Stephanie jump on a chair together, leaving Cass and me in the one behind them. It is snowing again, and the heavy cloud cover is making it much colder on the mountain than it has been the last few days. I move in close to her to keep us warm. She leans over and kisses the side of my face as we start up the hill.

"Stop that," I laugh. "Now you really are playing with fire."

"They aren't going to turn around," she says. "They're wrapped up in one another. They probably wouldn't notice if I gave you head right here."

I can't help myself but visualize that, and a groan escapes my lips.
