All three of those responses came at once as the men closed in on her.

She rolled her eyes. “Seriously?”

Ledger pulled out a chair at the small table in the dining area. As soon as she was seated, the towel in peril of falling from around her torso, Ledger handed her a bottle of water, an apple, and a peanut butter sandwich.

She smiled at him. “When did you grab me food?”

“While you were in the shower. We knew you had to be hungry. You haven’t eaten today.”

“Thank you.” It was silly, but she felt kind of emotional about the gesture. It was only a simple sandwich and a piece of fruit, but all four men knew those were her favorite selections in the cafeteria.

She carefully ensured her towel was tucked well around her and pulled her knees together before taking a bite out of the sandwich. They were beyond thoughtful. She hadn’t realized how hungry she was, and there was a good chance they were about to start a marathon workout in one of the bedrooms that would rival any she’d ever endured in her life.

“What about the rest of you?” she asked as she swallowed the bite.

“We all ate while you showered, hon,” Gatlin stated.

She lifted a brow. “I wasn’t in there that long.”

“Long enough. We were incentivized,” Ledger pointed out.

She chuckled again. “Could this be any more awkward?” she asked before taking a bite of apple. It was almost too hard to chew with her libido jumping into overdrive.

Jay set his hands on the table and leaned toward her. “We don’t want anything to be awkward with us, ever. But we do want to take care of you, and right now that means feeding you. And we all need showers before we’re touching you.”

“And then?” she asked, hoping for clarification.

“And then the towel you’re holding with a death grip is going to be history, baby,” Jay replied.

Her hand was shaking as she took a drink of water, finding it nearly impossible to swallow. At least she didn’t choke.

Nile came out of the bathroom, his wet hair dripping down his body as he stepped out of the way so that Ledger could pass him.

Two men down. Two to go.

And then…

Layla tried not to think about what would come. She was both nervous and anxious at the same time. She needed to focus on eating and block out what the next few hours would bring.
