Vinnie turns his hard gaze on me. “Can you shoot a man between the eyes from a thousand yards?”

I shake my head.

“Then no.”

“But I can,” Layton says, stepping forward. “So if you’re looking to take this Adam out, then you’re better off working with us and pulling Ruby.”

“Not pulling her. She is the only one who can get to my woman. Him, I need,” he says, pointing to Declan. “But the rest of you bellends might be of some assistance in the long game. Let’s talk.”

We actually have no choice in the matter.

But I saw the look that Declan and Layton exchanged. The last person who insulted Layton might’ve ended up with two black eyes.

Yeah, it was me.

And yeah, I did.

Being called a bellend isn’t going to go down so well with him and he is already in a mood.
