“No?” she snaps. “I won’t have you coming in here and tearing my brothers to pieces.”
“Let me explain,” I say wearily. “Not that it is any of your business, but Declan is aware of Ramsey and the other way around. I’m not sneaking around. I’m involved with both of them.”
Her big blue eyes go wide, and she flicks her long dark ponytail over her shoulder. “I know my brother, missy,” she hisses, taking me back slightly with her vehemence. “He loves you and I can see with my own two eyes that it borders on obsession, but that’s just Declan. He focuses on something with everything he’s got because it’s easier to control. There is no way he would accept you dating another man.”
“You’ve got it all wrong. I’m not dating them separately. We are all together, plus two other men,” I growl at her, getting pissed off with the judgment.
“What?” she asks, her mouth agape. “You have got to be joking! Does Mam know?”
“No, she doesn’t…”
“Oh, for the love of Jaysus, is Cillian one of them?”
“No,” I say, shaking my head. I fail to add not yet because that is just adding fuel to the fire. “All four of the men are happy with this arrangement and so am I. Don’t go looking for trouble where there isn’t any, got it?” I grit out, not taking this shit from anyone, even Declan’s sister.
The glower that heads my way looks very familiar and it makes me miss Declan even more. “Got it,” she says, tightly. “But if I hear one word from Declan about how you’ve hurt him, I’ll be coming for you.”
“I won’t hurt him,” I say and brush past her. “But I’m glad you’ve got his back.”
I’m not angry with her for the way this conversation went. How could I be when all she is doing is looking out for her brother? Brothers, even.
I disappear into the hallway and then stop when she turns to me and asks, “What’s it like, having all those men at the same time?”
I smile, but don’t turn around. “Perfect,” I murmur and head up the stairs to have my talk with Cillian, however that will go.
