He spoke into her ear as they danced. “How long do we have to stay?” She giggled, and man, that carefree sound still drove him crazy.

“A little while longer. You can’t keep me in the bedroom all the time.”

“Who said anything about the bedroom?” He nipped her earlobe.

“Why, Mr. Braden, where were you thinking?”

He met her lustful gaze. “If you call me that, we might just have to stop at my office on the way home.”

She arched a brow. “Promise?”

“Hell yes.” He pressed his hips forward, letting her feel what the thought of it did to him.

The song ended, and Jillian said, “Bathroom break!” She grabbed Trixie’s and Jordan’s hands, tugging them off the dance floor.

“Fucking Jillian,” Nick growled as Travis joined them.

Jax watched as his girl, his love, his life, glanced over her shoulder, blowing him a kiss. “I’m so in love with that woman I can barely see past her.”

“I sure as hell hope you’re talking about Jordan and not Jilly,” Travis teased.

Jax glowered at him.

“Have you told her yet?” Nick asked.

“No. After everything she went through and all the attention on Casey’s case, I’m waiting for the right time.”

JILLIAN DRAGGED THEM into the crowded ladies’ room. “You guys, Travis is packin’ major heat, and boy can he dance.”

“How do you know what he’s packing?” Jordan asked as Trixie got in line to use the bathroom and she and Jillian made their way to the mirrors.

Jillian gave her a deadpan look. “Don’t pretend you have no idea, little miss dirty dancer. I saw you and my brother practically having sex on the dance floor.”

Jillian had her there. She loved dirty dancing with Jax, feeling his body all revved up for her.

Two blondes and a brunette barreled into the ladies’ room giggling and got in line for the stalls. “Did you guys see Jax Braden?” the brunette asked.

“He’s so fucking hot,” one of the blondes said.

Jordan stole a glance at them in the mirror, feeling proud that he was hers.

“He’s even hotter in bed. Didn’t I tell you about the foursome we had?”

Jordan grabbed the edge of the sink as the room spun, their voices turning to white noise. A foursome? Her sweet, charming, sexy Jax? His voice trampled through her mind. I’ve been snagged by plenty of women. Flashes of them having sex in his pool, on the balcony in New York, and making out in the cab pummeled her. She couldn’t catch her breath and stumbled backward.

Jillian grabbed her arm, tugging her out the door.

Jordan put her hand on the wall to steady herself. “Is it true?” The pained look on Jillian’s face sliced through her heart.

“I don’t know. Probably. But you should talk to Jax.”

Gutted, Jordan choked out, “I need air.” She hurried toward the front of the bar and raced outside. Her heart thundered against her ribs as she ran through the parking lot to the sidewalk, trying to catch her breath, but her head was spinning, as she imagined him with that girl—and two others.

“Jordan!” Jax was sprinting toward her. “Sweetheart.” He reached for her hand, his face a mask of worry and grief.

She stepped back. “Is it true? Did you have a foursome?”

His jaw clenched. “I’ve never lied to you, and I’m not going to start.”

“Did you?”

“Yes, but let me explain.”

She turned away, shaking. “I’m so stupid. I was with Todd for years, and I had no idea who he was. Why did I think I knew you at all?”

“Because you do know me.” He moved in front of her. “I’ve never hidden a thing from you.”

“Except a foursome, and God knows what else.” She swiped at tears.

“I didn’t hide it, Jordan. You never asked if I’d been with more than one woman at a time. Ask me anything, and I’ll tell you the truth. I’m an open book with you, and I have been since day one.”

She shook her head. “I don’t even know what to ask. When was it?”

“Last year, before we even met.”
