I looked at every one of them sitting and their faces were red. As soon as my eyes met with Steve’s he looked down. They all felt the shock in my voice.

Miles took a step towards me, explaining, “I think it will protect bad PR and make you look good in the process. This is all Jamie, the prior CEO, has on you, so play into her cards instead of fighting it.”

I deferred with Miles by staring at him this time, “Can I speak with you in private?”

“I have an interview. I must be going.” Miles darted out of the room and towards the door.

Noting that nothing had helped, Julie stood up. “Drake, can you please schedule a meeting with the Janitor?”

“Wait, would I not want to be there?” the tone of my voice stopped Julie and Steve as they gathered their things to leave.

“Yes, Steve will build out a contract of terms. I will present the offer with you next to us.” Nodding towards them, Drake led them out of my house. Drake sent me the janitor’s file as I listened to the update on TMZ blast from my wall TV.

‘Exclusive news! Sophie Dash, owner of Forever Fitness and youngest billionaire on the Forbes list, was getting downright dirty with a Janitor from one of her gyms.’ The female reporter stated in her ‘fake-wannabe-reporter’ voice. Leaning back utterly pissed with what was happening, I opened the file that Drake had just sent to my email.

‘Colton Shaw, single with no kids. Originally from Australia, moved to the United States to attend Yale University.’

Skimming through the profile, I opened my phone and started looking up his social media. Clicking on his Instagram page, his long caramel colored hair rocked the relaxed men’s style, and he looked pretty attractive. Most of his pictures had been of him and a beautiful Golden Retriever next to a lake. Scrolling down, I found a picture of him standing on a surfboard wearing sunglasses and blue surfing attire. I snapped shut the file, closing my eyes from the exertion. I leaned on my chair taking in the cool air, thinking about how things have changed in a few hours. I heard footsteps approaching my place and I found Drake standing in front of me. He informed, “your meeting with Mr. Shaw is all set, I’ll send you the invite.”
