“Free drinks always win,” I smiled sheepishly at Alex but my eyes didn’t leave Xander.
“Are you done for tonight, Flame?” Xander asked. He dared me to say no but I wasn’t stupid.
“Yep. I’m more than ready to go home,” I jumped from the bar stool and winced.
I forgot my sore body, damn it!
My pain must have pleased Xander because I saw a smile touched his face as he came closer to me.
“Be careful, Flame,” he said cockily. I rolled my eyes at him and turned to Harley. She was busy with checking out my men.
Whoa?! My men?! Too possessive…
“I will not come tomorrow night, girly. I talked to Will. See you later,” I winked at her. She was giving me thumbs up.
“See you, Channing,” I yelled and walked to the exit with the Vincent brothers.
?
When we got to their home, I was still complaining about my lack of clothes.
“Xander, you don’t understand. I need clothes if I’m going to stay another night with you,” I whined.
“You’ll stay another night and tomorrow as well, Flame. About clothes…well, I don’t think you’ll need them,” he answered arrogantly. He didn’t listen what I was saying since we left the club. He was annoying, but Alex didn’t help me with this either, so I was all alone in that matter.
I walked to the bedroom floor with them. I wanted to soak in a hot tub and relax.
“Can I use the bathroom again? This time that amazing bathtub?” I asked.
“Feel at home, Flame. I need to check a few emails.” Xander motioned his room and after taking off his jacket he went downstairs to his study.
I found jasmine scent in the closet and prepared the bath for myself. The scent filled the bathroom quickly as I took off my clothes. When I sat in the tub, my muscles clenched at first but warm water relaxed my whole body and left it humming.
I leaned back and closed my eyes, letting the water caress my body.
When I opened my eyes again, the water was almost cold. I must have fallen asleep in this luxury. My fingers were puckered because of water so I stepped out of the tub. I was searching for some body lotion to moisturize my dry skin but the only bottle I found was empty.
I left the room and headed toward the Alex’s. His door was ajar so I didn’t bother knocking.
“Alex, do you have moisturizing body lotion?” I asked and he looked at me like I talked another language.
“There are thousand of shits I don’t use in my bathroom. You need to check and see if you can find what you need.” His attention was on his tablet as I left him on his bed and went to his bathroom.
Xander was right. Alex was a slob. His bathroom was messy. There were towels on the ground and he didn’t put anything where it should have been.
First, I searched the countertop but there wasn’t any cream I could use. I checked the counter under the faucet and finally found a body lotion there. As I closed the cabinet door, something caught my attention.
I reached out to see what it was.
My breath hitched in my lungs. There was something in my throat. I couldn’t swallow. I couldn’t breathe.
No way…
It couldn’t be…
It was only a coincidence…
