I couldn’t believe it when Trax jumped up, kissing me hard and deep, squeezing me in his arms in front of everyone. This time, I could definitely feel it was not for show. This was not for the benefit of the eyes on us, it was despite them.

“I love you so much,” he murmured, kissing across my forehead before finding my lips again.

“Inappropriate,” I breathed, but he didn’t stop until I managed to squeak, “I love you, too.”

The King cleared his throat loudly. “Congratulations. I expect a full report every month on the child’s progress, and you will move back to the castle in a few months so that the royal physicians are near for the birth.”

“Yes, father. Of course.”

My mother was smiling so widely it was almost disarming. “We’ll start searching through the family tree, looking for names,” she said. “And Trax, we’ll need your family tree to look for middle names.”

Glancing up at my handsome husband, he swallowed hard. “Certainly. Thank you, your Majesties.”

The second we were dismissed, Trax dragged me out to the hallway, pinning me against the stone wall with a kiss that took my breath away.

“Stop,” I finally sputtered. “The baby and I need a little air, and the guards are watching.”

His lips brushed my ear. “Was that to save my sorry soul, or are you really with child?”

“I really am. I was going to wait a few more weeks to tell you.”

“You’ve made me the happiest warrior in the land,” he smiled, taking my hand as we walked outside to the magnificent gardens, strolling along the cobblestone path in the sunlight. “But just in case you aren’t pregnant, we should make sure.”

“I’m quite certain—” I started, but then I caught the look in his eye, realizing what he was suggesting. “I mean, er, that is to say, this way.”

Pulling him to the west, there was a thick grove of trees just off the path, with a clearing that would hide us well.

“Your high...Althea, I won’t have you lying on the ground like a commoner.”

Snaking my hands around his neck, I kissed him as roughly as I could. “Your wife demands that you take her.”

His chest rumbled from the deep chuckle. “My clothing is darker, and can be brushed off.”

Trax laid on the ground, unfastening his trousers as I hitched up my skirts, lying over him. Our body parts were well covered, but it was clear what we were doing.

“What if someone comes by?” he asked, his eyes twinkling. “You hate people staring at you.”

“Don’t care,” I moaned, stroking his thick shaft as I sat astride him. His hot length in my hand made my juices instantly start to flow.

The only thing in the world that was important at the moment was satisfying both of us, and hearing that manly growl that I’d come to love so much.

Trax

There were so many moments over the past several months that I couldn’t believe were not a dream. Being given Althea’s hand, becoming royalty, and now the knowledge that I would soon become a father.

Yet every single wonderful moment disappeared and was entirely eclipsed by the perfect sensation of my lovely, lusty woman lowering herself slowly onto my erection.

Althea gripped my shoulders as she squirmed, moaning softly as she pushed me deeper. She was drenched for me, her body so ready that I sunk halfway inside easily.

Reaching up to caress her breasts through her peach silk robes, my hands were scratched by the sparkling gems on the front. Dipping my hand inside the fabric, I pulled her breasts out, caressing her nipples with my thumbs as she took my entire length inside her.

Flexing her thighs, she began to ride me, moving slowly up and down. As her eyes half closed, her long hair flowing in the breeze, she seemed so free. Absolutely happy.

“Trax,” she gasped, swiveling to grind her little button against my skin. “This feels so perfect.”
