His finger sank a pinch deeper as it became slippery with my juices, as his thumb moved more quickly. Nick held my body against his, as his warmth seemed to overtake me.

“That’s it, my beauty,” he murmured. “You have no idea what it does to me to see you like this.”

As my hips shifted, I brushed against his trousers in the one spot that demonstrated quite clearly how much I aroused him.

I loved that I was having such an effect on him. Gently rocking my hips against his rigid shaft, I could feel him tremble.

“Saucy little thing,” he growled softly, smiling as he peppered kisses across my cheekbones. His thumb began to flick faster, as his finger moved in and out of my snug passage.

“Oh…yes…” I murmured, as my head tilted back, lost in the moment.

The insistent pressure inside me was building, building, the gathering explosion inevitable. My body felt hollow, as if it were awakening completely for the first time. My spine arched as a strange cry escaped my throat, while the waves of ecstasy shook straight through me.

I could feel his finger slip a bit deeper as my moisture coated it, and a huge shiver ran all the way through me as I realized he would be replacing that finger with something much bigger very soon.

“So lovely,” he murmured, giving me a moment to blink the stars away. He kissed me again, hot and deep and demanding.

Then he paused. “My darling girl, I should tell you something before I take you.”

My hand stroked his cheek as I stared into those wonderful eyes, filled with such affection. “You can tell me anything,” I breathed.

Nick’s chuckle made me smile. “I never imagined but I’d find a woman as beautiful as you. But even more, I’ve always loved the thought of a woman who was smarter than I was.”

I blinked in amazement. “Captain, you are wise in the ways of the world. And the ship, and trading, and people, and…and I only know one small part.”

“But you know it so well,” he whispered as he kissed that spot under my ear that made me melt.

“What I’m trying to say, Astor, is that you’re the girl of two different dreams combined, and I never would have imagined that was even possible.” He pulled back to stare at me, as his thumb slipped along my chin. “I love you, lass.”

My eyelashes fluttered as I blinked away a few instant tears. My heart felt like it was growing in my chest as my fingers dug into him, clutching at him desperately.

“I love you too,” I whispered. “I’ve never dreamed that a man would want me. Much less be as wonderful as you are to me.”

“I’m going to do everything I can to be the very best for you, my sweet angel.”

His shirt was still half on, so I tugged it off his shoulders.

“Were you going to show me how much you feel for me?” I asked.

“Only if you’re sure,” he said again.

I nodded. I’d never been so sure about anything in my life. I couldn’t imagine a more perfect moment for us to share ourselves.

But most of all, I felt that after a declaration of love, the only thing to be done would be to express that physically.

I had to admit, at least to myself, there was also a tiny bit of curiosity. After studying how the human body worked for so long, I was eager to feel everything for myself.

And Nick, with his handsome, powerful body, mixed with a gentle, sensitive soul, was sure to be the very best teacher a girl could ever wish for.

I knew in my heart that this was one of the most important moments of my life.

Standing up and slipping off my clothing, I stared into Astor’s pretty eyes, knowing that our lives would be changed forever after this.

Although I already knew I would be getting a ring and proposing marriage as soon as possible, this moment felt even bigger. She was giving herself to me in the purest way possible.
