Half the men in the room looked confused as the other half looked amused.
“Why did this Alfred attack your MC?”Felix asked Hawkins.
“Isobel McCormick is why.That woman came to life twenty-six years ago.She was twenty years old back then.She faked being related to the Montoyas by switching places with another young girl at an orphanage and went to live with Senor Alfredo Montoya, the head of the Montoya Cartel.He groomed her to be a courier at first but his goal was to put her into a position in his rival cartel and have her bring it down by spilling the Alvarez secrets.Apparently, lying, stealing, backstabbing and murder were her favorite hobbies.You never met such an evil woman like this bitch.Sick in the mind and dark in the soulas my Rosy says.She married my son and killed him when he found out the truth.Which was her running drugs and guns right out of our backyard.Same for my other son, she murdered him and another Rogue member when they caught her with the actual drugs in our forest.Our property is over two-hundred and fifty acres, so we never knew this.Then with her help in getting some medallion that was known to be the symbol of the Alverez family the Montoya Cartel just went in and killed every Alvarez they could find.But like I said...years later, he came looking for Isobel too at my compound and for this same reason...revenge.She had done him wrong just like anyone else she ever knew.So yeah, we met him and his sons.They perished while gunning for us.Alfred made it but later killed himself.”
“So, this Ernesto Montoya wants revenge too?”Sergi asked.“Do these men never learn?”
“No, Senor Sergi, they do not seem to,” Hondo stated and he turned to inform Hawkins, “We have found out that Ernesto is the one behind Sean Evert, the Grimm brothers and the Diablo’s Hounds.Celina, the girl who came to warn us, told us that Ernesto is the real power behind all of this.Also the Hounds are related to the leader of the Grimm Brothers and they are coming here to figure out what happened to him and wreak havoc if he's not alive anymore.But right now you have to secure your compound and protect both Solana and Catarina.Ernesto is still looking for Isobel and he’s planning to kill her daughters in front of her before he kills her for his brother and nephew’s deaths.”
Hawkins just shook his head.“Well, ain’t that nice for him, but he’s too late to kill Isobel, the wolves took care of her a while back.It was a gruesome thing to witness, but it couldn’t have happened to a nicer person.”
Sergi just shook his head as he looked disgusted by all Isobel’s deeds.“All of this bloodshed for a woman who is already dead.”
Hawkins paused then glanced at Kota and Titan.
All three bikers looked uncomfortable.
“What is it?”Hondo asked as he noted their apprehensive expressions.
Hawkins pursed his lips and sighed heavily.“Everytime we think she’s gone and it is done...Someone crawls out of some hole to look for her,again.I swear it’s a curse.She just will not stay dead!”
Kota reached over and patted his dad’s shoulder.
Sergi looked at them and then at Hondo.“Then we must end this vendetta.Maybe as soon as we end this face to face we will complete this mission and finish what was started here.We take Ernesto and the rest of his family down.”
The room fell into silence at Sergi’s words.
Chapter Ten
No one dared to disagreewith Sergi.This wasn’t something anyone wanted to entertain but everyone was thinking about the ramifications in the back of their minds.Eliminating them by force was the only recourse.
“We can only hope that this will be the last of it,” Hawkins said then he sighed heavily.“But I do have to add...we have said this at least six times now.Hope that’s the end of it.I hadhopedher name would never be uttered again.Ihopedthat her nefarious deeds were all accounted for.And I especiallyhopedthat the devil would be able to contain her in the hell she well deserves.”
They all shook their heads.
Sergi let out a sigh.“I am sorry for the misery this woman has brought.We have all known men who cause such misery and mayhem.It is rare when a woman is doing it, but it happens.The human condition is a precarious endeavor.Bad should never be able to exist, though it does.Maybe together, we shall take care of this and...”He looked over at Hawkins.“End it permanently.”
