“Hey sweetheart, I want to run something by you,” I say.
“Umm, okay,” she says, sounding nervous.
“It’s nothing bad, just a question really.”
I tell her about Liam wanting to have a party here tonight and explain how no one will be here from the university. How we can be ourselves, but if she’s uncomfortable with it at all I will reschedule for another time. I’d much rather be with her than having a party, so it’s whatever she wants.
“I think it’ll be fun, but is it alright if Aubrey comes along. She was whining about having no one to go out with tonight,” she asks.
It’s impossible to hide my smile as I go into the bathroom to get ready to shower. “Aubrey can definitely come. I’ll call Liam and figure everything out, but is there anything certain you and Aubrey like to drink or eat?”
“You’re sweet, Drake. No, we’ll drink and eat whatever is there. What time should we head over?”
“You’re more than welcome to come as soon as you’re ready, but don’t forget, you aren’t leaving, but Aubrey is,” I say, unbuttoning my shirt.
“Oh I’m well aware, Professor, don’t worry about that. Alright, we’ll see you in a few hours.”
We hang up and before I strip down to nothing, I give Liam a call and tell him it’s all good. You’d think I told him he just won the damn lottery with how excited he is. I take a quick shower and get dressed in a pair of jeans and blue T-shirt. I take a minute to change my sheets and make sure I have enough condoms to last all weekend. Feeling good, I head downstairs and grab my keys to run to the liquor store.
* * *
Everything isready for the party. Beer is in the coolers outside and I have my counter filled with just about every liquor I could think of. Liam will bring all the food and the grill is heating up. I had Liam’s guys hang lights around the outside, some on the patio cover, some on tall posts along the fencing where the horses used to roam, and I was able to get some on the trees by the woods line. It looks damn good out here and I’m glad Liam had the idea of letting it be seen.
Walking inside, I hear a knock at the door. I open it and see the beautiful, smiling face of my girl. My girl who has on more makeup than usual, her hair is all curled, hanging around her face, and the short white dress she is wearing already has me wanting to carry her upstairs. Opening the door wider, I can’t take my eyes off of her and I can’t help the grin that appears everytime it comes to her. Aubrey follows her in and for the slightest second I think I better not touch Emma, but that thought vanishes as quickly as it came and I pull Emma to me. Not giving a shit if Aubrey is watching or not, I press my lips to hers and rest my hands on her perfectly round ass. When I pull back, I keep my arms around her and she smiles.
“Hey,” she breathlessly whispers.
“Hey sweetheart. You look amazing,” I say, moving one hand to her now curly hair.
Blushing slightly, she bites her lip. “Thank you, Drake. You look pretty good yourself.”
I hear a faint sigh and my gaze is pulled to Aubrey staring at us. I can’t help but start laughing. She’s watching us like a damn movie.
“Maybe we should show Aubrey the ranch,” I say, laughing.
Laughing she pulls away from me, turning to Aubrey. “Really?”
“What? It was so fucking romantically hot,” Aubrey says, lifting her shoulders.
Shaking my head, they follow me to the kitchen. “There’s all kinds of alcohol in here or beer in the coolers outside. Liam should be here in a few minutes with the food,” I say.
“Professor Grayson, your house is amazing,” Aubrey says, looking around.
“Thanks, but please call me Drake tonight.”
The last thing I need is anyone starting shit tonight over two students here, one of which I’m fucking and falling for.
We head outside and the girls go to walk around the ranch. I’m glad Emma feels comfortable enough to say she’ll show Aubrey around. Cracking open a beer, I lean against one of the beams of the patio cover and watch Emma. She takes my breath away.
“Drake,” Liam yells, walking around back with bags lining up both arms.
Laughing, I grab some from him. “Hey, it’s about damn time.”
“Hey, this doesn’t just happen, brother. It takes time to look this good,” he says.
Before I can even reply, Emma and Aubrey come back over.
“Liam, this is Emma and Aubrey, girls this is my best friend Liam,” I say, introducing them.
