“Tell her, Oak,” Sawyer encourages, crossing his arms.
It should be comedic, the three of them standing around naked professing their love to me. Instead, I can’t focus on anything but their faces. And when Oak still doesn’t say anything, I focus fully on him, waiting for him to announce he doesn’t love me and that the other ones are idiots.
“You don’t love me,” I say, as if helping him find the words.
Oak doesn’t reply and my chest squeezes. I crawl closer, looking up at him, my eyes narrowed.
“Tell me you don’t love me, Oak.” No response. “Go on.”
His eyes flick to the others and back to me. “I can’t do that.”
My breath rushes out of me. “You three are terrible about keeping things strictly business.”
“It’s cause you’re so amazing,” Sawyer points out.
“And beautiful,” Cash adds gleefully, clearly enjoying this entire situation.
Oak just stares at me. “It ain’t gotta be something important if you don’t want it to be,” he says.
“Now hold on—” Cash starts.
“You’re gonna spook her,” Oak growls.
“I’m not spooked,” I argue. But my voice is a little strained as I look between them.
“Go on a date,” Oak blurts so suddenly, it startles me.
I blink. “With who?”
It’s a valid question. Shit, three men are professing their love for me and they haven’t asked me to choose. Is this that moment?
“Us,” Oak replies.
My brows furrow. “All three of you?”
“Why not?” he shrugs.
“I . . . I thought you were asking me to choose,” I murmur.
Oak snorts. “Clearly, we’re not.”
“But . . .” I swallow. “Isn’t this a small town? Don’t they frown on this kind of thing? That’s why you’ve kept your cam business a secret.”
Cash snorts. “Not as much as you’d think actually. Seems like this is starting to be pretty common.”
“I . . .” My mind screams at me to say no. To tell them this is a bad idea. Instead, when I open my mouth, the word, “okay,” comes out. Apparently, my heart is a fucking traitor.
Oak’s eyes light up. “Okay?”
I nod. It’s probably a mistake but in the wake of a tirade of exhausting orgasms and my heart nearly bursting with affection for them . . . I can’t help but say yes.
Chapter 31
Jules
Apparently, there’s a small carnival happening outside of the Steele Mountain Ranch. They’d set it up as a celebration for the town finishing most of their repairs after the literal shoot out this place had. Which blows my mind honestly. I still don’t exactly understand what happened a few months ago, but I’m not even sure the guys know all the information. What they’ve given me is pretty vague so far.
The small carnival is apparently the setting for our date. Honestly, I’m a little excited. I can’t remember the last time I was ever at a carnival. So, I get dressed in a comfortable little sundress and sandals and do my best to look cute. I also can’t remember the last time I was on a real date. Long before I had to go into hiding for sure and those were supervised.
