Jules

Today’s the day of the first true group scene between The Velvet Rodeo and Vanta Vyxxxen. We’ve built up to this day, teasing the subscribers until our highest tiers have grown exponentially. Numbers are still trickling in so we won’t even know an exact count until after we post the edited video, but I know it’s going to be big. We’ve stumbled onto something that’s a massive hit and will clearly continue to bring in revenue long after the collaboration is done.

I’m not going to lie. I’m a little nervous about this group scene. Since it isn’t live, it gives us some leeway at least when it comes to taking breaks and pausing when needed. I’ll be wearing a half mask again today so my mouth isn’t obstructed. We have the table and the bed set up, as well as a milking bench I’ll get to use on the guys. We’ve pulled out all the stops, and without the subscribers to send requests in, it’s really just up to us to let things move seamlessly through the scene.

Though I don’t think this is going to be seamless at all.

I’ve long since known I was in trouble when it comes to the three men. Each of them strokes something different in me. Each of them seems wholly interested in anything I have to offer.

And now I’ll be naked with all three of them around me.

To say I’m worried is an understatement.

“You’ll be in charge unless things flip naturally,” Cash explains as he checks all the cameras for what feels like the tenth time. “Which ever one of us isn’t actively participating, if there is someone that is, can pick up the camcorder here and get close up shots.” He points to a bright red camera on a side table.

I nod but I won’t be the one picking up the camera, not when I’m the only woman in the scene. I assume my hands will be busy the entire time.

“Okay. Everyone ready?” Oak asks.

His eyes have barely left me, watching me as I pace around the room. Clearly, I’m anxious, and he notices.

“Yep,” I say, trying to shake off the nerves and falling into my Vanta alter ego. “Let’s do this.”

Oak hesitates before he hits the start button. “Need me to be in charge?”

“No.” I meet his eyes. “I’m fine. Just go.”

He nods, clearly not believing me, but not daring to point it out. He hits record and I smile for the cameras, running a silk scarf through my fingers as the three men take their seats behind me.

“Welcome back to The Velvet Rodeo, little bats,” I coo. “Today, we’re going to be taking part . . . I mean . . .” I roll my shoulders and start again. “Welcome back to The Velvet Rodeo, little bats. Today, we’re going to test these three cowboys’ ability to . . . to . . .” I grunt my frustration as Oak hurries to pause recording.

“Hey, hey, hey,” he says, coming over and grabbing me by the shoulders. I look up into his eyes, stressed that it isn’t coming as naturally as it should. “It’s alright. We can take more time until you’re comfortable.”

“I am comfortable,” I lie, and he raises his brow.

“Alright, I let the first lie go, darlin’, but this one just won’t do.” He guides me over to the milking table and sits me down on it. “Now I need you to take a few deep breaths for me and tell us what’s wrong.”

Cash and Sawyer both come over to stand next to Oak, waiting for an answer.

“Nothing’s wrong,” I try again.

Sawyer raises his brows. “The lie was so apparent in that, the vibrations are spelling the word.” He takes my hand. “Jules, relax.”

“I’m trying,” I growl, rolling my shoulders. “Don’t you think I’m trying?”

Cash leans in. “I think . . . that we really spooked you the other day.” He takes my hand. “Is that what has you so anxious?”

I bite my lip and don’t answer rather than lie.

Oak grabs my chin and forces me to look up at him. “Jules,” he growls. “No more lies. Tell us straight.”

I jerk my chin out of his hold and narrow my eyes before looking down. I cross my arms like a petulant child. “Maybe.”

Sawyer sighs. “We’re not trying to scare you, beautiful.”

“It’s just . . . I don’t know how to navigate this,” I say, gesturing to them. “I don’t . . . I can’t?—”

“Stop,” Oak grumbles. “I have an idea. Take off your clothes.”
