“Ah, yes,” Pepper says, forcing a smile.

“Okay, get to work,” I say, opening the door.

She walks out, and I follow her, watching her ass.

Next morning.

“Mama Bear, thanks for the coffee and cookies,” I say, tucking my tablet under my arm.

“Shade, you should have some breakfast. It’s almost ready,” Mama Bear says, holding the kitchen towel.

“Mama Bear, I can’t. I have Church,” I say, taking a drink of coffee.

“Okay, I’ll save you an egg sandwich,” Mama Bear says.

“Sounds good,” I say, nodding.

Mama Bear is very special to me; she’s like a mom, always taking care of us since we were young.

Mama Bear is the prior VP, Grizzly’s Old Lady. Grizzly is in the Pen for life for killing an MC’s rival VP ten years ago. Grizzly killed Stoner, the Wicked Warriors MC VP, in retaliation for their Prez killing Cox, my Dad.

It was hell because I lost my Dad, Cox, the Satan’s Warriors MC’s Prez, and my Mom ran off. It was Dad’s fault for fucking the Wicked Warriors MC Prez Old Lady. Now, both Crash and Grizzly are in the Pen.

That was a dark time in my life. But now both MC’s have a truce, enforced by the marriages of our blood brothers and sisters.

That’s fucking amazing.

I walk across the main clubhouse to the secured steel door. Only the Brothers, Mama Bear, and sisters can get inside this area. I enter the code, open the door, and walk down the hallway to the Chapel.

I enter, look around at the Brothers, and take a seat.

“Brothers,” I say, lifting my chin.

“Hey, morning, hi,” the Brothers say.

Prez and VP walk into the Chapel and take their seats.

“Brothers! It’s a fucking beautiful morning,” VP yells, slamming his hand on the table.

We glare at him since it’s fucking six in the morning, too early.

“Good morning, morning, hey, yeah,” The Brothers says, nodding.

I roll my eyes and take a drink of my coffee. Sometimes Demon and Diablo are too much. I roll my shoulders and lean back into my chair.

“Brothers! Church is in session! This is a great morning! We have scratch for you,” Demon says, slamming the gavel.

“Shade, give us the deets,” Diablo says, crossing his arms.

I grab my tablet, slide my fingers, and start giving them the numbers.

“That means that we’re getting a great return on investment. This is from our legit and other investments. Of course, we are distributing twenty-five percent of the return. We’re investing the rest,” I say, looking around the room.

“How much?” Diablo asks, raising his brow.

“Brothers, I want to have a vote first. I want to know if you want to get half of your share and invest the rest,” Demon asks, looking around the room.

“It has to be all in investing half,” I say, looking at the Brothers.
