I closed my eyes because none of my sons’ mouths were nice. They got that shit honestly. If Lisa thought she was hurt earlier, I wanted to see how she would get through whatever my son was about to let fall out his mouth.
Derrick’s lip turned up. “Oh yeah? Well, Orion ain’t ya daughter’s father. I know my blood mama’s name. Do you know your daughter’s blood daddy name? Stop fucking playing with my parental units.”
“Alright, that’s enough, Derrick. Lisa, get ya ass out of here. All these years, I let you have your little show and play with my name. You took it a step too far, and Marsha put you back on the correct path.” My ear dropped to my shoulder. “You ever heard the phrase you reprimand a child where they cut up at? Those licks didn’t feel good, did they?”
Another tear fell from her eye before she found her stink ass attitude again. “Fuck you, Orion. You know what, I’m glad she wasn’t your daughter. Yeah, nigga!”
As time went slowly, my head turned to my son whose head was turned to me. Both of our heads then turned to Lisa. Shestood there with a smug expression. “Lisa, um, I’m not sure if you know that your clapback didn’t land like it should have. You’re telling me, wait. I’m too old for this shit. I almost lost myself in the petty immaturity. Lisa, get the fuck out of my shit before it be a serious situation.”
She started to pop more shit but thought better of it when I pulled the hammer back on my gun. Lisa was the kind you had to take it there with for her to get the point. A smart person would have left the entire situation alone. She was a poke the bear then cry when that shit mauled her type of bitch. Derrick and I watched her storm out like a child.
“Man, let me text ya mama. She’s always on her good bullshit,” I said with a titter as I pulled my phone out. Marsha’s ass was wild for blasting that girl, but I understood.
I sent my baby a text right as my other sons walked in. “What’s up, bighead boys. Y’all came to chill with ya pops?”
Derrick’s head snapped in my direction. “Pops, your ass ain’t supposed to be here. They came to see about me.”
I ignored him to continue my text conversation. Derrick’s gossiping ass told the boys about the Lisa situation. He was a born storyteller, so I let him have it. My head drew back at Marsha’s text.
Mrs. Westin:
I didn’t have shit. I was doing what you said. I simply bullied the bully.
Me:
Oh, so you’re a bully now too. I see ya man is rubbing off on you.
Mrs. Westin:
Orion, SU! Ain’t nothing about you rubbing off on me!
Me:
Say what you want woman. I know one thing that’s gonna rub. Those pussy walls on this dick later. Love you.
Mrs. Westin:
Lol! SU! I’ll see you later LU2.
Me:
What the fuk I thought.
A Few Days Later . . .
“I’m telling you to leave that girl alone. Bianca don’t mean you any good, Son,” I told Aaron. “Please don’t get that heifer pregnant. You’re going to regret it for the rest of your life. Derrick, I love you, and you know that, but ya mama. Yeah, I could do without.”
We all laughed. Derrick laughed the hardest because he had been front and center for a lot of the bullshit with his mother. Thank God, when he was sixteen, she met a nigga that showed her some love and married her. It was said that seven is the number of completion. Kisa and Jessie’s marriage lasted seven years before he was out. The why behind Jessie’s departure was not my business.
The only reason I knew about their marriage failure was because Kisa came to me aboutspinning the block.Bitch, how does one spin on a block that they were never truly on. Understand that when you were just fuckin’ on a person, that wasn’t being on their block. You were just passing through. The only folks that could spin anything were those who had investedin that block, spent time on that block, or some real mutual feelings were involved with that block.
I was at my house with my three sons and Grant, Bruqlyn’s pop. The women wanted a girls’ night, so we deserved a boys’ night. Marsha, Norma, Bruqlyn, Karla, and my grandbaby Bridgette were at Marsha’s house.
“Chill, man. Pops, I told you that I pulled back from that girl. I slowed down with her since I decided to really see what’s happening with me and ole girl,” Aaron said.
Euri laughed. “I’on know why you would deal with any bitch that’s connected to CeCe’s ho ass. You like gambling though.”
Aaron waved Euri off. He took a sip of his beer before he responded. “Bro, worry about your wife and child. Leave me, Derrick, and Pops, the single niggas, to our own shit.”
