I couldn't speak, couldn't think, couldn't do anything as he drove me over the edge. Fireworks burst behind my eyelids and my legs trembled. Aftershocks rocked me as Drake kissed me until my heart stopped racing.

"You. Were. Amazing," I managed to get out.

He smiled, looking down at me with a lust-filled gaze that turned me on even though I just had an orgasm. "This is just the beginning."

Drake's words sizzled through me like a fire melting butter and it's all I could do not to turn into a puddle on the bed. The aftershocks of my orgasm had my legs trembling. His fingers lightly stroked my arm in a gentle caress, and I leaned into his touch. I had craved him so bad I didn't, couldn't, think about anything else.

Now that I was sated for the moment, all my questions from earlier came rushing back and I faced him. His eyes were hazy with lust and stole my breath for a moment. But his only concern had been pleasing me. Something no guy had ever done without him taking his own. Except this has happened three times in a row with Axel, Nathan, and now Drake.

I covered my hand over his, pausing his movement so I could concentrate. No more distracting to keep me from finding out what was going on.

“Back to the werewolf idea—”

“Not an idea, it’s the truth.” He took my fingers in his, lifting them to kiss the tips of them and sending my heart into erratic rhythms again.

Gently, I pulled my hand from his, so I could concentrate. “Did you set all this up with Stephen? Con him into playing a game you knew he’d lose? Then seduce me with tales of being a werewolf—or how my dad I never knew was one?”

“You’re not going to let this go, are you?”

I crossed my arms. “No, why should I? This could all be some elaborate trick to get me to have sex with one of you—”

“Or all three of us,” he added in with a wicked grin.

Damn his sexy looks.“And you’re playing on my fears to do so. While my fiancé is home waiting for our thirty-day trial to be over so we can start our lives together.”

Drake pushed out of the bed. It was only then that I realized he was naked, and his ass was so tight and muscled that my mouth watered.

“This has nothing to do with that loser.” Drake’s eyes darken. “Why are you even considering marrying him?”

“Why? Because he is my fiancé and we’re supposed to already be married.” Though the fact I hadn’t heard from him in days sat like a rock in my gut. Our last communication had been him telling me to do whatever. I was doubting he even cared what that was as long as he got the money.

“How well do you know Stephen,” Drake’s voice asked almost under his breath.

“What’s that supposed to mean?” I sat up, tucking the blankets around me.

“It means he calls you Brookie, which you hate.” Drake paced, running a hand through his gold hair. “He keeps you at arm’s length even in the bedroom.”

How did he know that? His words were true but still stung. “That’s none of your business.”

“Tell me I’m wrong, Brook.” He faced me, his stormy blue eyes staring into me. “Tell me he’s everything you want in a man and that you love him.”

I opened my mouth to say exactly that, but the words lodged in my throat. Was it because he was right or because I was going to turn into a werewolf? That I could hurt Stephen now that I wasn't human.

Wait. What was I thinking? I was no werewolf. Though Nathan’s bite still ached.

“Right.” Drake grabbed his shorts and put them on. “That’s what I thought. I’m going to make breakfast if you’re interested.”

And he left me alone with all my doubts and fears crashing into me.

I didn’t know how long I laid in Drake’s bed, staring at the ceiling with everything I learned swirling inside my mind. When the scent of cooking bacon drifted into the bedroom, my stomach rumbled so much I thought the bed might start shaking. I took a quick shower and wrapped a towel around myself as I darted to the guest room with my clothes and dressed into a pair of yoga shorts with pockets and a tank top.

My hair was wet, but it was thin enough that it would dry on its own in a few minutes. For now, I had to grab some food before the monster in my stomach got any louder.

I met the guys in the kitchen. Their plates were piled with eggs, bacon, biscuits with peppered gravy. It looked as delicious as it smelled.
