"Today begins the rest of your days with us."

I nodded because I didn't know what else to do or say and I didn't want to piss these guys off. It's not sex.I hastily remind myself and straighten my spine. Though if I wasn't engaged, I would seriously consider the idea. I shook my head. What was wrong with me? These men were filthy rich, and a vibe of danger shadowed them even though they'd been good to me so far. Would that change now that the clock had started ticking?

"Your days will be filled with at least one of us, sometimes two, and often all three. Please us and we'll give you part of the day off perhaps." Axel leaned back on the sofa, patting the cushion beside him.

"Okay." I swallowed, my heart racing like I'd just finished a two-hour Zumba class. But I sat down next to Axel anyway. Drake was to my right with a full space lay between us, but I still felt like I was way too near both men. Drops of sweat trickled down my back and I fought the urge to rub at the spot. Instead, I clutched my hands in my lap. A million scenarios ran through my head like them wanting me to strip while they jerked off. I mean, technically, that's notsexbut might as well be to me. Something told me these guys wouldn't care, and I really should've laid out more ground rules.

"Relax," Nathan said from where he's sitting on the arm of the couch. "We won't bite hard."

Drake chuckled and Axel shot him a look I barely caught. One that was a warning. Why? Was Axel telling him not to scare me or something else? My throat tightened so hard I didn't think I could get any words out even if I tried.

I met Axel's amber gaze and his eyes dilated sending my pulse into overdrive.

"Stay calm, Brook." He smiled, but somehow it appeared feral and not easing my nerves one tiny bit. "We're merely talking. There's nothing to get upset about."

"Nothing?" I managed to squeak out. "I'm at the mercy of the three of you."

"Let me get you something to drink." Nathan hopped off the arm of the couch and strolled into the kitchen.

"Brook, we want to take care of you. Show you how a real—how we'd cherish you if you were ours."

"It's easy to do that when you're rich. Much harder when you scrape for every bit of cash you can get."

"Enough," Axel snapped, and I jumped. "Brook, you belong to us in whatever way we want."

"Except sex." I lifted my chin, daring him to contradict me. Sure, I had agreed to this crazy arrangement, but that didn't mean I was going to be a doormat and let them do whatever they wanted.

"Of course," Drake said, reaching out and taking my fist in his hand. "There are loads we can do that don't equate to intercourse."

Heat burned me all over at his words and a shiver of anticipation raced up my arm from where he now traced his fingers over my knuckles. I felt both light-headed and tingly like I'd just drank half a dozen shots.

My tongue was heavy in my mouth, but I focused on what I was going to say. "It's still wrong, though. I'm engaged." And a bit old-fashioned. I wouldn't kiss or touch another guy in an intimate way while seeing someone else much less engaged. Which, if Stephen hadn't booked this gambling date on our wedding day, I'd be married right now.

"Right now, consider yourself a free agent," Drake said as though reading my mind. "Your engagement, your wedding, and Stephen are postponed for the next thirty days."

Nathan walked in from the kitchen holding a glass of iced tea. "Think of it as a way to ensure what you really want before you marry."

"I already know." I eased my hand out of Drake's and accepted the drink from Nathan and took a sip. It was just the right amount of sweet. "Thanks."

He nodded, taking his seat on the arm of the couch again. It was almost like he was on guard duty or something. Like he couldn't relax into the comfy couch or risk not being able to get up fast enough if there was danger. Did he think I was going to bolt, and he'd try to stop me? I crossed my arms because I'd given my word that I would stay here with them. I might not agree with this stupid bet, but I wasn't going to negate on mine and Stephen's chance to walk away with enough cash to set us up for life either.

"So, what happens now?" I asked, more out of trying to fill the silence and get everything out in the open before my imagination went haywire.

Axel rubbed his cheek with the side of his thumb like he was debating whether to skin a rabbit from the tail or the head first. "You and I have an agreement."

“What does that mean?” I tried to sound boisterous but was sure they heard my knees knocking.

“Relax.” Drake stood and walked over to me, offering his hand.

I stared at it for a long time. Even though I willed myself to take it. That this was no big deal, I was frozen in place.

Instead of getting angry, Drake chuckled. “I won’t bite hard, promise. Just want to show you to our entertainment room.”

Was that slang for a BDSM chamber? A weird little shiver pitted in my stomach. I was certain I didn't want to be tied up or at least not all the time. Though the idea of being in control sometimes especially over powerful men like these did have me squeezing my thighs together briefly before I accepted his hand. Kinda like switching it up. Was there a term for that?

Drake led me upstairs to the third floor with Nathan trailing behind us.
