Error.

Arundhati blinked. She pressed the button again.

Another beep.

Then, a message flashed on the screen.

‘No coffee beans. Please refill.’

Her eye twitched.

Of all the times…

Of all the moments…

Why the hell did this have to happen whensheneeded coffee the most?

Kushal, who had seen it, didn’t care.

She felt his gaze lingering for a second longer than necessary, watching, waiting for her reaction.

And yet, he did nothing.

Not a word.

Not a single offer to help.

He simply picked up his cup, gave his coffee one last slow, effortless stir, and then walked out.

Just like that.

As if she didn’t even exist.

As if it didn’t matter to him in the slightest that she had just been screwed over by a coffee machine.

Arundhati’s blood boiled.

The arrogance. The absolute audacity.

He had seen the error. He had known she needed coffee.

And yet, he had just walked out, not sparing a single damn word.

She exhaled sharply, pressing her fingers against her temples.

Kushal wasn’t always like this.

Not during their five months of marriage.

Not when they had still been…trying.

It was only after she had filed for divorce that he had become colder, sharper, and more arrogant than ever.

Like a man who had flipped a switch, deciding that if she wanted war, he’d give her one.

Fine.

She could play that game too.
