“Mmm, why not? The kids don’t get home until tomorrow. The house will never be this free of tiny ears again.” I looked up at Courtland. “I’m ready and I’m done with waiting.”

Courtland looked down at me, his face covered in two days’ worth of growth, making him look wilder and more devilish. Finally, he nodded. “Call Dominic. Tell him to get his tail home,” he told Radic over my shoulder. “Let’s go find our Omega, shall we?”

Yes!

I resisted the urge to run up the stairs, instead waiting for Courtland to make his way up one at a time. I kept my face impassive, but he didn’t look fooled. “Go and get him, Bonnie. I’ll meet you in the nest.”

I stopped on the stair above him, leaning forward to kiss him hard. Then I spun and raced to the room we’d turned into the theatre room. Pryce was binge-watching a show about Lucifer, and he was completely immersed.

Hmm, I could change that. I walked over and sat in his lap, meaning his face was about boob height. Never one to miss an opportunity, he buried his face in my cleavage, making a happy humming noise.

“Oh, hello.”

I laughed, twining my fingers in his hair. “Are you saying hello to me or my boobs?”

He grinned up at me, the expression heart-stoppingly beautiful. “Both?”

I leaned down and kissed him, because who could resist? “Want to be my mate?”

He kissed along my jaw. “You know I do. We’re just waiting for the right time.”

“Now is the right time.”

He pulled back, his blue eyes shiny with hope and excitement. “Like now now?”

“Yep.”

“Yes!” he hissed, picking me up and carrying me. He seemed to just know we should head to the nest. “I’ve been waiting for this, but I didn’t want to rush your injuries.”

We arrived in the nest just behind Courtland, and Radic was racing up the stairs behind us, already getting naked before he made it through the door. I laughed from Pryce’s arms. “Hold on, we have to wait for Dominic.”

Radic laughed and shook his head. “He hung up before I even finished the sentence. I think he’ll be here before I finish—”

On cue, the front door slammed and there was the heavy thud of footfalls up the stairs. A wolf stuck its head through the door, then it changed into a very naked Dominic.

“What did I miss?”

Courtland huffed. “We are all still fully dressed, Dominic. I’m not talented enough to make love to anyone through sweats.”

We all kinda stood around, looking awkward for a moment. “So, how do we do this?” Pryce asked, and then everyone looked at me, like I was some kind of expert on Manix matings.

“It’s not like they gave us how-to manuals. It’s all… instinct, I guess.”

Dominic grinned widely. “So we fuck until we feel like taking a nibble?” he said incredulously. “Fuck yeah. Stand aside, guys, I’m going to practice on our pretty little Omega female here.” He stole me from Pryce’s arms and dropped me into a pile of pillows, nuzzling my neck and making nom-nom noises.

But when it came time, when we were sweaty and breathy, we didn’t have to think. We just had to feel. The first bite, the first kiss, the first orgasm of mated life were things that I would never, ever forget.

I had a Pack, and I loved them more than anything.

“Idon’t know why you’re complaining, Court. You look gangster as fuck with a pimp cane.”

I smothered my smile at Rosa’s words, and at Courtland’s huffing response. Goddess, it was good to have them home. I’d missed the kids like a physical ache, and no amount of healing, or healing sex, could make up for that.

The bond felt amazing, to feel the love that shone from Courtland for his sister, despite the fact she was being a brat. Or to know that Dominic was watching one of us and feeling horny. Actually, that was the standard response for Dominic. I cuddled Duncan to my side, and kissed the top of Georgia’s head.

Everything was back to being okay. As long as I didn’t think about Doc. Didn’t think about putting him in the ground, or how the whole town had turned out for it. Or about how Wilkie got off scot-free by insisting that he’d had no idea what his Beta had been up to in his spare time.

That was bullshit. We all knew it. But the Legion Generals had voted, and Wilkie got a reprieve, but he was being watched. And by watched, I mean Dominic stalked him day and night, watching him from the shadows, making him uncomfortable as fuck. The guy wouldn't brush his teeth without Courtland and Dominic knowing about it.
