The woman in question laughed. “Pretty sure my vagina is broken, because I’ve already had like four orgasms and she's ready for another four.”

She crawled onto all fours and grabbed at Pryce’s hand, dragging him to her body, and he went willingly. Happily. As he kissed her neck, she looked at me, her eyes soft.

“Thank you,” she mouthed, and I smiled back. She didn’t need to thank me. I would live and die for them. Not getting my dick inside wasn’t a big deal.

The door opened, and I noticed the mussed hair of Radic in the hall light. “I think I arrived at the right time?”

I grinned, and the expression was feral. Oh yes. He’d arrived at the perfect time.

Afull twenty-four hours after Bonnie woke up, we finally emerged from her temporary nest. Having satiated the heat, the duration of the craziness had been cut significantly. At least for Bonnie. The rest of the new Omegas would have to suffer through the next week, miserable, which meant the whole town would remain frenzied. Still, my Beast was appeased that our Omega didn’t scent of need anymore, and should be reasonably safe from the Alphas in the town.

Now I could go back to being the Alpha General. First stop was to see the freaking Convocation member for Endangered Supernaturals.

I dressed in my usual armor of a three-piece suit and headed down to see them where they were camped out in the Legion building. Dominic was at home, curled around Bonnie like a second skin, and Radic was by my side, his hair perfectly arranged and completely unlike the man who had been fucked like it was our last day on earth last night.

As I stepped into the center of town, I could tell that Dominic hadn’t been exaggerating about the level of mania the town had descended into. Even now, they were circling the building, and there was blood—and shit, was that a tooth?—littering the streets.

I growled low, flexing my Alpha for every person in the vicinity. They didn’t scurry away, but they did pause their fighting.

“We can’t do a whole week of this, otherwise I’ll be Alpha General of a town of mangled beings.”

Radic hummed his agreement as he stepped over a fallen Manix Beta, a tranq sticking out of his neck. I leaned down and checked he was still breathing, and was happy to see that he was just out cold.

Walking through the doors of the Legion building, I was greeted immediately by the smiling vampire assassin himself. Fuck, I’d forgotten how huge he was.

“Ah, Alpha. Nice to see you. You’ve missed all the fun though.” He licked his lips and grinned.

I frowned. “You haven’t been feeding off my people, have you?” I growled.

He shrugged. “Not much? And only the ones who offered themselves to me. Which is a surprisingly large amount. Who am I to turn down a snack?”

I growled, and the vamp just shrugged. “Calm down. I don’t often get to eat from the source, and there's a ‘no eating from humans’ rule back home, so it's nice to get a bit of warmth in my food. Call it payment for rushing down here to save your ass.” He rolled his eyes. “I’ll stop though if it squidges you out.”

Someone cleared their throat, and Raine appeared. “There's no payment for doing our job, X,” she chastised softly. “Hello, Alpha. I assume your Omegas are feeling better.”

I bowed my head respectfully. “Yes, Ma’am. We are thankful that you made the trip to help us out.”

She shrugged. “It’s my job, but I gotta say, I’ve been tempted to eat a few too because they literally have no sense of self-preservation. You know how many we’ve had to tranq in the last twenty-four hours?”

Loren appeared, and he looked tired as hell. “One hundred and fifty-eight, and counting. At this rate, we’ll run out of tranquilizers before we run out of days.”

I gritted my teeth because that was not good. I didn’t want to do any more harm to my people than necessary, but even I was not completely immune to the pheromones swirling from this building.

“Can’t you do anything to dampen the scent?” I asked Loren, and he shook his head.

“It’s not a spell I’ve ever needed.”

“What about knocking them out?” Radic asked, and again Loren shook his head.

“All fifteen hundred of them? I don’t have the juice for that.”

Raine and X shared a look, and the vampire sighed. “I know someone who might be able to walk you through a dampening spell.” She pulled out her phone, mumbling to herself. Hitting a single button, she raised the phone to her ear. “Hello, it’s Raine.” Rolling her eyes, she huffed. “Don’t be dramatic. I’m looking for Miranda.” She was silent for a long time, her foot tapping. “Stop fucking around, Alexander. I know she’s there.”

Shit, she was calling Miranda? Loren blanched but it was too fucking late. Raine pushed the phone at Loren, and he took it with a gulp.

“‘Lo?” Silence. “Yes, Ma’am. What? No. I don’t have one.” Pause. “I don’t know why.” Pause again. “I’d rather… Okay, fine.” The look Loren cut me was pure pissed off witch. “Yes, Ma’am. I need a dampening spell to stop the fucking Manix from turning into horny mutts and trying to fuck everything that moves.”

I cleared my throat, and Loren sent me a panicked look. Then he frowned, all seriousness once more. He mimed writing, and Radic rushed away, appearing in seconds with a notepad and pen.
