A loud bang had us all jumping, and I realized Radic had clapped really loudly. “Why don’t I show you guys to your rooms?”
Dominic gave him a wolfish grin that promised pleasure like he’d never felt before, if only he’d come into his den. “I think that's an amazing idea, Beta. Lead the way.”

This whole day had felt like a fever dream. From the moment a rogue Alpha walked into the office, to my sacking, right up until I walked into the room to see my girlfriend surrounded by half-naked men, causing me to feelaroused. Not jealous, angry, threatened, or you know, any of those normal possessive traits that were probably toxic but I normally just couldn’t help. Like the idea of her half-naked with the Fletcher-Wiley-Reid Pack? That sent me into a full rage.
Yet the fact that she just ran her fingers across this completely unknown Alpha’s back? It just made me unbelievably hard.
Clearing my throat, I ushered everyone toward the stairs, before stepping forward and grabbing Bonnie’s hand. She was taking the whole thing well, which I knew she would because Bonnie was tough as hell, despite her gooey insides. But if she was anything like me, the pheromones these guys were throwing off would have her floundering.
She gripped my fingers tightly, and I knew I was right. I searched her scent for fear or worry, but all I got back? Heat. Fuck, she smelled like that one time we’d trapped ourselves in her apartment for six days and fucked until we couldn’t fuck anymore. Lust to the extreme.
I cleared my throat again, giving my best tour of the house. Courtland’s Pack had already settled in, and if I didn’t already spend so much time at the Sanctum, I might have found their loud boisterousness off-putting. But they were regular kids, albeit ones who didn’t flinch at all at the semi-automatics held by all of Courtland’s soldiers.
There were twelve of those in all, though the third-in-command, Antonio, said not all of them would stay. Once they were happy with Prince’s security, they would leave. When I’d asked who the Prince was, they’d laughed. Loren—who smelled of witch—had said Courtland was referred to as the Prince, and they were his Court. An obvious play on names, but Courtland had never introduced himself that way. I decided to do some research when I was back at my apartment tonight.
We stopped at a light-filled room. “We should make this one the nursery. It’ll get good warmth in the morning, plenty of sunshine, and I can put my bed over there,” Bonnie said firmly, and my eyes whipped to hers.
“Your what?”
Pryce, the softly spoken Omega whose need had made my own flare to life earlier, answered. “The doctor wants Bonnie to stay and monitor the babies. He seems to trust her.”
I didn’t take my eyes off her, and she looked back at me defiantly. Loving an independent woman was hard sometimes. “He should trust her. He raised her.” Fucking hell, Doc. When he’d asked for her assistance, I didn’t think he’d be setting her up as a live-in nurse.
My whole body tensed, and Courtland sighed. “We should get all this out in the open, yes?”
How he seemed just as authoritative half-naked with a baby strapped to his chest as he did pinning the Alpha General down in a three-piece suit was beyond me, but he did.
Dominic grinned, rocking back on his heels. “Oh, this should be good.”
Courtland gave him a droll look. “I think we are all aware of the simmering sexual tension between us, no?”
I watched all their faces—Dominic’s grin, Pryce’s confused nod, and Bonnie’s tense shoulders. I held her tightly to my side, but said, “Yes.”
Courtland paused, his eyes lingering on Bonnie. “Yes,” she whispered.
I heard the happy hum that emitted from Courtland’s chest. “I expected as much. Pryce, may I tell them?”
Tell us what? Shit, this was all so confusing.
Pryce nodded, and Courtland continued. “My men and I rescued Pryce, as well as several other captives, from a government research facility a week ago.”
Bonnie gasped. “But where are the others?”
Dominic shrugged. “Some had family, some we dropped off at places on the way here with enough cash to get them started.”
“Pryce had lived in that facility for fifteen years.”
“Sixteen,” the Omega corrected.
I stared at Pryce. Holy fucking shit. How? “I’m so sorry,” I said softly, and he smiled. It was a brittle smile, like he didn’t know how to react. I didn’t know how to react either.
“So things are confusing for him right now. He had limited contact with other people—let alone other Manix—in there. Some experiences are overwhelming, and I would request that we take things slow with him. We can introduce him to other people at a moderated pace, so he can ascertain his feelings.”
I blinked. “Are you giving us the birds and the bees talk right now?”
