“You called hermistka.”
I winced. I thought he would not hear that. But who am I kidding? He is the Alpha of our tribe. He knows.
“Your father,” he reminded me as he lathered his hands with soap, “called your fathermistka. My father called my fathermistka. Axad called - “
I stopped him by kissing him gently. I know what he’s telling me. This mate business has to stop. And we need to deal with the truth. We are warriors. Things will not always go our way and we both need to find our true mates.
But for now, I directed his lathered soap to my weeping cock. For now, we will enjoy each other.
We decided to go to the room’s balcony when we noticed that Brin was still softly snoring in the bed. I wanted to take her again, her arms and legs open wide. I know her body will flush red if she can only look at her naked self right now.
“We need to return her to my sanctuary,” I quietly told Roqs as I leaned on the balcony. “Right after Crix gets a look at her.”
Roqs nodded. He is standing just a few feet from me looking at the barren land surrounding this town. “I also trust them with this discovery. That we have a female. But at some point, if you want to keep her, you need to register her.”
“I’m surprised you want to go legal with her registration. I know you keep a lot of things during your travels from other planets where you don’t register them.”
Roqs looked taken aback. “You’re comparing her tomy things?”
I stood up. Paced in the small space of the balcony. A habit I got from Roqs.
“You have to understand Zirc. You are contradicting yourself more and more around her. It’s not like you.”
“I know!” I grumbled.
“You think of her as a thing to downgrade whatever you’re feeling about her.”
I stopped and glared at him. Feelings? I want to scream at Roqs.
“I need to go back to the tribe after we hear from Croone.”
I nodded. That is our plan. The original plan. We’ll meet up at Crix’s, get information from Croone, fuck like there’s no tomorrow, then part ways again. Roqs knew of my need to have a mate. I want a mate. With a mate, I can have a child. The Elders promised me an egg. If I find my mate. That is the deal.
That is most of the deal for our race. To survive, we need to find a mate and impregnate one of the harvested eggs.
“You haven’t spoken about her having iron blood.”
I looked at Roqs. He is looking beyond the screens. Towards the female lying on the bed. Fuck, I said I do not want to see her again while my thoughts are a riot inside my head.
“Iron blood?” Roqs reminded me. I forced myself to look at him.
I just grunted.
“Yes, very colloquial of you love,” Roqs smirked. Laughed a little. “I doubt we can hide that fact when Crix takes a look at her. The Purple tribe will want her. Her blood will be farmed for medical and healing properties - “
“I know!” I almost shouted. I know exactly what they will do to Brin. She will never see the light of day. If this gets out, gangsters will crawl out of the sand dunes just to get a piece of her. I paced again.
Though the Purple Tribe leads all the tribe, they practice one thing that contradicts what Roqs and I believe. Freedom for all. They procure aliens with iron blood. Those with iron blood come willingly for a price. The money they get they will send back to their families, sacrificing themselves to pump more blood. The iron blood is used to heal diseases of our race. Their pure blood is able to fight even deadly diseases, those with compromised immune systems. These beings are forever sleeping in capsules to maintain their body’s system. They are as good as dead. Only the knowledge they have iron blood is what’s keeping them alive. Because no one will kill them.
The Elders, on the other hand, want to know if the myth about the iron blood is true. That they can manipulate our crystals and bring forth power.
I should know. My parents tried that. By wanting to save me, they betrayed the tribe. They illegally captured a being with iron blood. Kept her locked up, fed only when necessary -
“Stop,” Roqs laid a hand on my shoulder. “Stop it right now.”
I inhaled sharply. Roqs always knew my thoughts. “I will do all the legal things with her as soon as we evaluate her test results. We’ll register her, give her an ID, and paperwork. Everything.”
“And then?”
