I felt that falling sensation again and braced myself.

I breathed a huge sigh of relief when my feet touched the ground.

All of a sudden, I felt his claws retract. I used my arms to balance myself on the ground, pacing a few feet away from him.

Then I heard him growl, sending shivers along my spine. It was a low growl, like a small threat. Nothing like the huge roar that came from him last night.

Slowly, I turned around.

Then took a step back. What –

He growled again. His silver eyes glinted against the suns.

He turned into a huge lion. A huge midnight black lion. With streaks of silver along his huge head.

He looked calm enough, even peaceful. Where was the beast from before? Is this Zric?

His eyes are Zirc. His mane of hair is that of Zirc. Long, black with stripes of silver mixed in. This is probably one of his different forms. Or his beast?

I wonder why he doesn’t change back to his more human side so I can talk to him?

“Zirc?,” I called out.

His tail just twitched.

I snorted and placed my hands in front of my face to stop my laughing. I always go crazy during critical times. How I can find humor in my predicament, I do not know.

I saw the glint in his eyes, as if he knew I found something funny in his beast.

Ah, but he looks cute that way. His head and his body looked ferocious. All coiled muscle. He looked heavy and the strength of power in his bones is magnificent!

But his tail. Oh how his tail looked so cute. My eyes were drawn to his long and fluffy tail. In this form, his tails had lots of fur and it’s so fluffy looking. The fur also looked soft and at the end, there’s a huge ball of fur that makes me itch to touch it and see if it’s as soft as it looks.

He was flipping his tail as if irritated. But when I looked long enough, he stopped and swished it behind his back.

I looked up and yes, the same glint in his eyes as if he doesn’t find it funny. It looked like his what I will call human eyes are back. I haven’t seen a glimpse of the beast’s eyes since last night.

“You’re not going to change?” Maybe in this form he can understand me. But no, he still could not understand.

I heard a loud bang and dropped to my hunches and covered my head with my arms.

When nothing happened, I looked up and saw Zirc smirking at me. That beast!

I looked around and straightened up. It was our horse-like creature. He looked big and magnificent in his form.

The horse stepped on something metallic, a big circle on the ground. It was black or dyed black. There were some markings on it. The closest thing I can describe it is like it’s the cover of a sewer.

Zirc or the lion-Zirc went to it. He is still tall, taller than the horse and bigger than a normal lion. He is like 10x a normal lion would be.

I took a step back again, my body forced to react to something big and scary.

He just continued to go to the horse who was not spooked at all. So the horse recognizes him even in this form.

Lion-Zirc used his mighty jaw and big teeth to clamp on the metal. And using his powerful neck, threw it away like a frisbee. I can see from this position clear water. More clear than anything I’ve ever seen.

I felt thirsty again all of a sudden. Very very thirsty.

When I hurried to it at the same time the horse did, lion-Zirc growled a warning. Me and the horse both stopped and looked at Zirc.
