“Thank you for coming to meet our baby brother.” Genj let go of me and reached for Vawn’s travel case.
Ret hooked his arm with that of his youngest brother and walked him right past me as if I didn’t exist.
I spun around to watch them walk away, specifically Vawn. I chewed on my bottom lip, wanting my hands on that ass so bad. That’s when I noticed Qé and Xac laughing at me.
“Shut up.” I crossed my arms. “You could have at least warned me.”
“I tried.” Qé shook their head, still laughing. “But you had already zeroed in on him and stopped paying attention to everyone else.”
“Hey, Ojokun!” I glanced up to see Vawn facing me from the exit. “I hope your offer still stands.”
Before I had the chance to respond, Ret yelled, “Not going to happen,” while glaring at me.
Well, I hadn’t totally bombed with the breathtaking visitor, but did I want to risk pissing off two of my teammates just for a fuck? I wasn’t sure yet.
Chapter Three
Vawn
“So, what happens if I press this button right here?”
Ret yanked my hand away from the console. “Seriously, Vawn, I don’t know why I let you anywhere near my jet. You won’t stop touching things.”
“Well, sorry for showing some interest.” I rolled my eyes while Genj laughed, standing on the platform below.
Ret shook his head. “You can show interest without using your hands, you know.”
“Darn right I can, but I’m not interested in your jet that way.” I ducked as my oldest brother tried to swat my head.
“How about you get out now?” Ret wrapped his fingers around my wrist. “I don’t need you accidently starting my jet and crashing it into our dormitory. I’d have nothing to fly and nowhere to live because my baby brother couldn’t keep his hands to himself.”
I laughed at him. “You can’t even handle me. How are you going to cope when you have Enif in here for the first time? You promised her, and I can guarantee she will touch and flip everything in this cockpit.”
My brother sighed. “I’ll deal with that when the time comes, but right now, I want you out of my jet. Let’s go to the museum instead.”
“Fine.” I grabbed his wrist with my other hand and made him help me out.
Genj shook his head at the both of us. “It’s unbelievably quiet when you two aren’t together.”
We both turned to him and stuck out our tongues.
After leaving the tarmac, we headed into the main building of the facility. The museum was somewhere inside, and my brothers mentioned all kinds of items they wanted to show me as we walked through the hallways.
While I tried to pay attention, I was completely distracted the moment we walked past the fitness room. But I really couldn’t help myself when the sexiest being alive was chest pressing on the bench with a whole lot of weight on either end of the barbell. There were more modern ways to build muscle now, but him standing inside a machine wouldn’t have given me this breathtaking view. Being from Jenegath, he had black forearms and thighs, his skin changing to blue and reaching toward his torso like the tips of flames. And the golden lines all over the rest of his tanned body proved how vascular he was. All muscle and definitely drool-worthy. I wiped the corner of my mouth as he put the bar in the stand and sat up, catching me staring at him. He winked before he reached for his bottle for a drink. Shit, he was definitely a candidate for tonight. He ran his hand through his dark locks, longer on the top and undercut on the sides. I had to experience him.
Ret peeked over my shoulder. “No.” He spun me around and moved me away from the door. “That is my teammate. Stay away from him.”
“But he’s so hot,” I whined as I was dragged down the hall. “I wonder how hung he is.”
“Not something I want to know,” Genj groaned.
“And you’re not going to find out,” Ret snapped. “He only does one-night stands. He’ll never commit. And you have a daughter at home you have to think about.”
I yanked my hand away from him. “How dare you think you can control any aspect of my life, especially who I sleep with. I have done everything for my daughter, and this is the first time I have ever been away from her, the first time I have ever put myself first since I learned I was pregnant. Whereas you have always put yourself first, followed your dreams while not worrying about everyone you left behind.” We often fought, as siblings do, but he’d taken this too far. He had no right to lecture me. Not when he’d only been home once in the past three years and was usually too busy to chat for long when we did get ahold of him.
I stormed off with no idea where I was going, but I was sure when I calmed down, someone would help me find my way to the dorms.
I spun around to make my point one last time. “So, don’t you dare tell me who I can and can’t fuck!”
