“Yeah.” Utahn pointed a finger in his mouth as he gagged. “I haven’t had enough to drink to witness that shit.”

“You’re all jealous.” Though I was sure by the end of the night, they’d all find someone to be with if they wanted to.

“Nope.” Genj shook his head. “I grew up with Vawn, and now I live with you. You’re both annoying, so I don’t know why I’d be jealous.”

Vawn pursed his lips. “Oh, I can think of many reasons, but I’ll keep my mouth shut.”

In a move that surprised all of us, Utahn hooked his arm around Genj’s. “Don’t let them bother you. How about you buy me a drink?”

Shit, I never saw that coming, but I hoped it led to the two of them finally getting together.

“It’s about fuckin’ time,” Ret said as they left for the bar. “Those two have been pining over each other for years.”

“You knew?” Vawn stared at his brother.

“Everyone knew.” Ret shook his head and rolled his eyes. “Well, except the two of them. Let’s just hope Genj doesn’t do something stupid to screw this up.”

My team leader’s attention was suddenly drawn to a Yatak female, leaving Vawn and I standing by ourselves. I reached for his hand and interlaced our fingers together. “Would you like to dance or find a table?”

He gave me the sweetest smile and squeezed my hand a little. “Let’s find a table. We can dance in a bit.”

I really didn’t want to dance—ever—but, I would for Vawn when the time came.

Utahn and Genj joined us at the table once they’d gotten their drinks. As did Ret, after the woman he was chasing turned him down.

With a couple of drinks in him, Vawn decided he was ready to dance. He pulled me to the dance floor, finding a tiny space for us among the multitude of bodies. The alcohol I’d consumed and the fact we wouldn’t have an audience made the idea slightly more bearable.

The first song was slow. I held Vawn against me as we swayed to the music, his head on my shoulder while I simply breathed him in. He calmed me and made my heart race at the same time. I didn’t believe that I could ever feel this way about someone else until I’d met him. Stars, he was like finally getting clean air when I didn’t know I’d been exposed to smog for so long.

When the song changed, the beat picked up. Vawn spun around in my arms with his back to my chest and his arms around my neck. He ground against me, and I froze. I didn’t know what to do.

He turned around and laughed, clutching my hips and moving me along with him. When I managed to pick up his rhythm, he moved even closer, slotting our legs together then riding my thigh.

Stars.I wasn’t going to last long if we kept dancing like this. I leaned in for a kiss and caught his bottom lip between my teeth before pulling away again.

He winked then grabbed my ass with both hands and ground against me. Harder. Shit, that was exactly what was happening to me. Then I caught his sweet scent.No. Not here.

When he faced away from me again and pushed his ass against my hard cock, I choked. If he didn’t stop, I was going to come in my pants right there. Fuck, why did I have to have such a hot boy—guy?

The song changed again, and Vawn gave me a wry smile before leaning in. “Why don’t we take a break for a bit?”

Yes, please.I didn’t miss the gentle brush of his fingers over my cock while he was talking.Shit.How much more did I have to endure before I could take him to bed again?

We returned to the table, but only Ret was there, kissing the cute Quavian guy on his lap.

Vawn smacked his brother’s head before sitting down beside him. “Where did Genj and Utahn go? Are they finally hooking up?”

Ret turned away from his current fling but still held him tight. “I wish. It would save me the headache when I return to our guest quarters and have to listen to our brother whine about Utahn being with another man.”

“What other man?” Vawn reached out for my hand and pulled me closer to him. “What happened?”

Ret adjusted the guy on his lap. “So, Wosh came over and started flirting with Utahn. Then, he asked him to dance. Utahn didn’t agree right away but looked to Genj. Probably because he wanted our dumbass brother to ask him to dance. Instead, Genj thinks he’s asking for permission, and says, ‘Sure. Go.’ So, Utahn left to dance with Wosh. Genj watched for a little bit then got mad and left.”

“Dumbass,” I muttered under my breath while massaging Vawn’s shoulders. The middle Kaddim brother had a chance to get the guy he wanted, but he wasted it. Which meant he was probably moping around at our team’s weekend accommodations.Stars.Where was I going to take Vawn to have some alone time?

“Where is Utahn now?” Vawn asked his brother.

Ret pointed to the dance floor. “Out there somewhere.”
