Another grin. This flight was going to be fun. “I’m Vawn.”

“Trog.” He shifted in his seat to face me better. “So, have you been there before?”

“No, this is my first time. I always had something else going on during these events.”

We chatted the entire flight, making the time pass remarkably fast. I hadn’t realized we’d landed on Eurebly until other passengers started getting up from their seats. Trog walked with me to the baggage claim, where he saw his friend.

“I’m going to go now, but maybe we can meet up again sometime this weekend. I think there’s a dinner and dance tomorrow night. Will you save me a dance?”

“Definitely.” I rubbed his arm, casually feeling his biceps. “Maybe a couple.”

He nodded with a smile. “I look forward to it.” He kept his gaze on me as he started to walk away. When he finally turned, I searched for my luggage.

This was already turning out to be a great weekend. I had wonderful company during my flight and already had a dance partner lined up for tomorrow night. Now, I needed to locate my travel case and search for my brothers.

Chapter Two

Ojokun

Late!I was going to be late for the arrival of the flight of guests arriving from quadrant one. I grabbed my shirt from the weight rack and fumbled to put it on as I raced toward the spaceport. Normally, I waited until the special club night to find someone to spend the night with, but these guests weren’t just fans. They were also friends and family members of my fellow racers. I had to make an impression before they were warned to stay away from me.

I ran two blocks before I could see the spaceport up ahead. There were umpteen racers boarding hovers, already leaving with their guests toward their respective dorms.Shit!I’d hoped to have prime selection. Now, I’d have to settle for leftovers, usually those who were really close to their family member racers and by this time knew my reputation. But at least I was honest from the beginning of any sexual encounter, not a hypocrite like the rest of them. None of us had time for a serious relationship, and, even if we did, we faced danger and possible death with every race. We thrived on adrenaline, something that didn’t match well with a committed relationship, and especially not with a family.

It had been at least a couple of years since anyone on my team had left HQ to visit their parents or siblings. I didn’t know why I was labeled a “bad guy” when I was more honest than any of them. The only part I hated was having a one-night stand who refused to accept I’d been telling the truth when I’d said I didn’t do relationships. They would refuse to leave my room in the morning without my contact information. But my teammates usually helped me out of those awkward situations.

Speaking of them, I saw two of the members I raced with as I sped through the automatic doors and into the main lobby. I knew Xac and Qé weren’t looking to pick up anyone. They were created on their home planet of Kalpier without any sexual feelings but were a bonded pair in every other way. They were likely here to help any lost passengers.

After glaring at my nemesis from Team Storm passing by with his guest, I came up behind my teammates and rested my arms over their shoulders. “Hey, have you seen—”

My words were cut off by the most beautiful vision I’d ever laid eyes on. A being whose sense of fashion accentuated their delectable curves. Their pink-flower-print blouse was tucked into a form-fitting gray skirt that hugged their ass tight. And they’d topped the outfit off with knee-high black heeled boots. Though I couldn’t see them from the front, I was sure I wouldn’t be disappointed.

I let go of my teammates and darted around them to approach them.

“Ojo, no,” Qé called from behind me. “You really need to rethink this.”

I waved them off, not at all worried. The beautiful being would be in my bed by the end of this weekend. Guaranteed.

I walked over to stand beside them at the baggage claim, with my hands behind my back. “Hello, beautiful. Can I help you find your luggage?”

When they turned around, I realized they were Orezian, like two of my teammates. And more gorgeous than I’d imagined at seeing them from behind.

“Well, hello, handsome.” Their eyes sparkled like the brightest stars, complimenting their radiant smile. “My case is right here.” They grabbed it from the conveyer. “But I appreciate the offer.”

“Well, maybe I can carry it for you.” Anything to spend more time with them and arrange to get them to my room. I wanted to see their curves completely bare.

Instead of answering, they reached up to my neck and grazed their fingers over my racer ID tattoo, one of the ways we could be identified if we crashed during a race. Their touch was gentle and eyes full of curiosity. “You’re a space racer? Not a guest only here for the weekend?”

I nodded, thankful for this opportunity to keep talking to them. “Yeah, I am. My name’s Ojokun.”

Their eyes widened. “Ojokun? From ORIXA?”

They’d heard of me. Yet, I couldn’t tell if that was good or bad based on their expression. So, I decided to be sweet Ojo instead of cocky Ojo. I dug the toe of my shoe into the floor. “Yeah, that’s me. I was hoping maybe we could get a drink together sometime this weekend.”

Instead of blushing and being flattered, like I’d hoped they’d react, they laughed in my face. “I think we’ll be seeing a lot of each other this weekend.” They pursed their lips in a smirk and raised their eyebrows. “My name is Vawn. I’m pretty sure you know my brothers quite well, since they’re both on your team.”

Shit!Of all the guests I could have been attracted to, it had to be a Kaddim. “Well, that’s unfortunate.” I didn’t know much about the youngest brother, as Ret and Genj would always stop discussing him when I was around, but the likelihood of interacting with him apart from scheduled team events was nil. His brothers would keep him occupied and away from me. I’d have to find someone else to warm my bed.

As I felt a presence on either side of me, each of the older Kaddim brothers gripped my shoulder and squeezed.
