He didn’t know how Dominic could sound so together, not how they were fucking, but his words were as smooth as his strokes. “I am making you come, Adrian. Just the way I want. Just the way I like it.”

Adrian ran out of words. Had he honestly thought he was completely in control of this situation? Heat blazed through him when Dominic thrust deep and ground in even more.

“In fact, you’re close, aren’t you? Right there.”

Yeah, he was. On the edge. His breath came in pants and he dug his fingers into Dominic’s arms. “Babe...”

“That’s it, Adrian,” Dominic murmured. He ground in hard. “I want to lick the come off you. Give it to me.”

Hearing those words out of the mouth of the same man who’d blushed his way through dinner was too much—the world turned as gilded as the sunlight in Dominic’s hair and broke into a thousand pieces, and he came hard. He couldn’t even shout—the pleasure took him too fast.

“Fuck yeah.” Dominic’s thrusts came sharp and fast as he spent himself. Not with the cry of abandon from the previous night, but a growl of contentment that chased down Adrian’s spine, mingling with the aftershocks of pleasure.

And true to his dirty talk, once Dominic had pulled out and ditched the condom, he came right back and licked every drop of semen from Adrian’s skin. Adrian tangled trembling fingers into Dominic’s locks. “You’re unreal.” It came out as a croak.

“You’re not complaining,” came the smug, snarky reply.

Adrian could only laugh. “Babe, you can make me late for work any day of the week.”

Dominic quieted and spread his fingers over Adrian’s chest. “I think I’d like that.” Soft, wondrous words.

He propped himself up on his elbows to get a better read on Dominic’s expression. Surprise, and maybe a hint of worry there. “So would I.”

Their gazes met. Still that soft voice. “It’s not like me.”

So he’d said before. “Love ’em and leave ’em kind of guy?”

A snort, but it wasn’t one of humor. “Makes me sound heartless.”

Adrian shrugged. “There’s no shame in one-night stands.” He’d had plenty of them himself. Hookups. Hell, he’d had some amazing sex in the bathrooms of clubs. “Sometimes life just isn’t right for more than that.” He paused. “You’re far from heartless.”

Dominic traced patterns on Adrian’s skin, warm fingers over flesh. “Thank you.”

No more than that. His dark eyes were focused on his moving fingers, and there was that little hint of fear again. Adrian had no idea what the frown might be from, what churned behind the brow of the unexpectedly stunning and strong man in his bed. But he wanted to find out.

“So, dinner Friday, still? If you like, we could try the cuffs after.”

Dominic’s fingers slowed and stopped. “On me or you?”

Now, that was an interesting question. “Whichever you prefer, but I do think you might enjoy being tied up, Dominic.” He brushed a hand over Dominic’s cheek.

A little shudder. “Yeah, probably.” He grinned. “Absolutely yes to Friday.”

Again, Adrian claimed a kiss from those delicious lips. This one tasted faintly of musk and salt and a little like the beginning of something new.

Adrian walked into work a little past ten and to a few raised eyebrows, but the taste of himself on Dominic’s lips had been so well worth it. Not even a hellish meeting and a pile of angry emails about broken code could dampen his spirits.

Chapter Five

Dom had absolutely no issue falling into Domino for the next practice. The music came like lightning, with all the crash and edge and burn that he was known for onstage and in songs. Felt so damn good, too, that strength, that poise. Though he didn’t always like being Domino 24/7 on the road, he did miss the no-fucks attitude that came with assuming the role. The righteousness.

It wasfunbeing Domino. So he played like he could rule the world.

Ray was more than pleased. And the energy must have been infectious, because he danced around the studio, singing his heart out like they were back onstage at some sold-out arena. Mish was on top of her game, strutting across the floor, and Zavier was his absolute astounding self.

And the songs, oh god, Ray had outdone himself. Sure, they all added bits and pieces, but Ray’s heart and soul had been poured out into this album. Every note, every word.

Dom loved it all, too.
