Rob pried open his eyes. “I like everything. But there’s something about pizza. And lasagna.”

“My dad makes thebestlasagna.” Brian picked up his slice and ate. He had no idea how his parents would react to him dating a guy.

“Your dad? Not your mum?”

“They both cook. Sometimes, Mom worked swing shifts, and Dad needed to feed us. Luckily, his mom was the keeper of the family recipes.” Brian pulled pepperoni off his slice. “My mom makes killer wedding soup.”

“God, I love that, too.”

“I’ll have to bring you to dinner sometime.”

Rob froze and Brian couldn’t put a finger on the expressions that crossed his face. “You’d do that?”

First he’d have to tell his parents he had a boyfriend. “Yeah. I mean, I have no idea how they’re going to react to me being bi, but…” They were his family. “We’re all close. I’m pretty sure they’ll be fine with it.” He hoped.

Rob didn’t answer right away, so they ate in silence. When Rob finished, he slid the paper plate away. “I’m not used to family being supportive.”

“Yours or…” He’d no idea about Rob’s past relationships.

“Both.” He got a distant look. “When I came out, it was rough. It was starting to get better, but…” He shook his head. “Too late now. The guys I’ve been with in the past were either estranged from their families or weren’t interested in that kind of relationship.” Rob rubbed at his wrist again.

That kind of relationship.Brian finished and nodded at the door. “Shall we?”

They tossed their plates and headed out. It wasn’t dark, but the day had chilled. Rob reached for Brian’s hand. “Anyway, I hope everything works out with your parents.”

“Me too.” They walked up the street, getting closer to his apartment. That kind of relationshiprolled around in his brain. With the women he’d dated, it’d always been serious, always the hope that dating would lead to more. “I’ve never dated casually.”

“When I date, it’s not casual.” Rob said. “I wasn’t always on the same page as my partners.” Bitterness there.

They hit Darlington and walked the half block to Brian’s apartment. “This is all new to me.” The world had changed enough that there could be more than dating. He found Rob staring back.

“No,” Rob said. “It’s not.”

That threw him. Then again… nothing felt different. He kept expecting some big shift in his brain, like a trumpet heralding that he was now queer. Not the normal giddy high of finding new partner. “Maybe you’re right.” They stood on his porch, still holding hands. “Was this date number two?”

Rob pulled him in, took his mouth, and Brian’s legs wanted to crumple. The kiss put fire in his bones and an ache in his soul. Not aggressive or demanding, but those lips claimed him from the inside out. When Rob pulled back, his mouth curved into a smile, and his cock pressed against Brian’s. “Yes.”

Fucking alleluia!Brian shoved the key into the door and unlocked it. They didn’t speak on the stairs, or when he unlocked the door at the top and stumbled into his apartment.

Brian’s skin burned to be touched; his fingers ached to discover what lay beneath Rob’s clothes. He’d never been so hard in his life.

The kiss Rob drew Brian into was needy and demanding and set his blood on fire. A tongue that teased along lips and teeth and claimed his mouth. Brian moaned, cupped Rob’s ass, and pulled him close, his dick pressing against Rob’s.

Hot, heavy, and everything he’d dreamed about for years.

In response, Rob tugged and pulled at Brian’s hair until he gasped for air. God, he loved that. The ache, the surrender. A few of his ex-girlfriends had managed, but not with the strength Rob had.

“You taste so good,” Rob murmured, hot words against flesh. He worked his mouth down Brian’s neck, teeth scraping against his skin.

That was usuallyhisline, but he didn’t care at all. Rob rocked against him. Fuck, how were they still standing? And why did they have clothes on? He grabbed Rob’s shirt and dragged him to the couch and they tumbled down onto the cushions. Rob slipped his hands under Brian’s shirt and stroked his abs, making Brian twist and shiver. That and Rob’s hot mouth against his collarbone had him about ready to explode. His balls had never ached this much from necking.

“God.” Brian drew in a breath. “I want you so bad.”

“I can tell.” Rob skimmed a hand over Brian’s dick and the pressure sent his pulse skyrocketing. He yanked Rob up by his shirt and kissed him hard and deep until it was Rob who whimpered underneath his lips.

Such a sweet sound. Brian kissed Rob’s jaw, the stubble scraping his lips. Buttons were easy to open on Rob’s shirt—thank God he wasn’t wearing an undershirt.

Brian splayed a hand against Rob’s chest, then sat back. Hair dusted Rob’s ruddy shoulders and chest, with a thicker trail leading down into his dress slacks. His arousal was thick and unmistakable below his belt.
