Chapter Twelve
Sunday morning came too early for Fazil’s tastes. He groaned against the sunlight. Todd was already out of bed.
He poked Fazil in the side through the covers. “Come on, you’re the one who wanted to see mountains.”
Still too much light in the room. Wasn’t Seattle supposed to be gray? “I can see them fine from the window.”
That earned him a pillow to the face. “Get up, or there’ll be no coffee for you.”
No coffee? “Those are fighting words!” Fazil hauled himself upright, blinking sleep out of his eyes. He slipped out of bed, wonderfully achy in his hips and thighs from the previous night. He shook his legs out. “God, I’m getting old.”
“Rough sex too much for your ancient bones?”
His turn to throw a pillow. Todd dodged out of the way. “Our bones are the same age.” He rolled his neck. “Haven’t been on the receiving end in a while. Bit different.”
Todd nodded and turned. Something in that glimpse of expression Fazil didn’t like, but before coffee was no time for probing conversations. “Am I going to need more than sneakers for this trip?” He rummaged around in his bag for his toiletry kit. He needed to shave, or he’d have a good start to a beard by Monday.
Todd slipped on gray sweatpants. “Yeah, it wouldn’t hurt to have a pair of boots, especially if you’re staying longer. There are plenty of places to hike. We can hit a store on the way out.”
“They going to be open this early?” He didn’t know the time, but given that he was still vaguely on East Coast time...
Todd picked up his watch. “No, but by the time you get your ass clean and we get something to eat, they ought to be.”
“Speaking of clean...” He hoisted his travel kit. “Mind if I catch a shower?”
“Not at all. I’ll get the coffee started.”
“Not joining me?” Fazil was on the edge of being disappointed until Todd took Fazil’s chin, tilted it up, and devoured his mouth.
The toiletry bag nearly slipped from Fazil’s hands. He couldn’t even groan through his sudden need.
Todd broke the kiss and caressed Fazil’s balls and hard cock. “I’d love to join you, but if I do, we’re never going to leave the apartment.”
There was that. He felt like a teen again, minor joint pain aside. “We could stay.”
A deep laugh. “Always so eager.” Todd ran his thumb over Fazil’s chin, sending a shiver through him. “That’s why I like making you wait.” He gave Fazil’s dick a squeeze, then stepped away. “Go shower. The trip will be worth it.” As he headed to the kitchen, he called back. “There are fresh towels in the linen closet.”
He borrowed Todd’s shower gel and shampoo, rather than using the hotel stuff he’d brought with him. He had to resist the urge to jack himself off under the pelting stream of water.
If Todd wanted him to wait, he might as well wait. Didn’t takethatlong to get his lust under control, especially when he turned the hot water back to chilly. He did want to see the scenery that had tantalized him from a distance.
He’d seen mountains in California, but those hadn’t been the green, lush snowcapped things that beckoned here.
When he’d finished, he wrapped a towel around his waist, opened the door to let some steam out, and cleaned off the mirror so he could shave.
He was halfway done when he noticed Todd in the doorway. Fazil straightened.
“No, don’t stop.” His whole face seemed to echo his smile. “It’s hot.”
That sent a little tingle up his legs. It was so utilitarian, this action. “Really?”
Todd looked him up and down. “Mmm-hmm.”
“Why?”
A huff of laughter. “You don’t know?”
Fazil eyed himself in the mirror, but any reason behindhoteluded him. “Kris used to say that. I figured it was because it was something she didn’t do.”
