“There’s another underground tour.”

Another hour in gloom and damp wasn’t appealing, even if the history was interesting. “Not enthused.”

Todd pursed his lips and got a funny gleam in his eye. “Did you know there’s a science fiction and fantasy museum here?”

“Really?”

“Yeah—except it’s back over by the Space Needle.”

“You dork!” Fazil punched him in the arm again. “Why didn’t you say so when we were there?”

“I honestly forgot! Besides, the building it’s in is ugly as sin.”

To complete the set, Fazil mock-punched him a third time. Never would he forget Todd’s grin at that or his laughter, nor the lingering way Todd kissed him. When they moved apart, Todd’s eyes were alive with light and joy. “You saydorklike it’s a bad thing.”

Fazil’s pulse thudded in his ears. “Or maybe we could go back to your place.”

That lovely smile turned wicked. “Or I can make you wait and show you something you love, so you can’t complain.”

Sometimes waiting was its own pleasure.
