Todd snorted. “Only you would conflate filthy with romantic.”

Fazil cracked open an eye. “There’s a difference?”

Not with them. Todd smiled and kissed Fazil’s nose. “Get some rest.”

It didn’t take long for Fazil’s breathing to slow and all the tension to seep from his body.

Good. Todd closed his eyes. He’d come home again.

***

Fazil knew Todd slept next to him the moment he slipped into consciousness. No confusion, no wonder. It was as if Todd had always been there in his bed and everything was exactly how it should be.

He studied Todd’s face. He’d moved here to be with Fazil. Finally listened and understood. That was worth so much. More than Fazil could repay after all the years. He’d try, though, with every ounce of his being.

Todd stirred and opened his eyes. “Hey.” A sleepy word.

“I love you.” Wasn’t what Fazil had meant to say.

Todd smiled. “Good. Because the feeling’s mutual.”

He knew that. Todd had said it often enough. “It’s hard to say.”

“Is it?” Todd propped himself up on one arm. “Why?”

There was the fucking lump in his throat again. “Because if I screw this up, I won’t have you.” They’d be apart again. “I’m no good with love.”

A snort. “No one’s good with love, Z. It’s messy, horrifying, and wonderful. You leave pieces of yourself all over whenever you open your heart. It’s a fight, a struggle, and so much work. It’s also the best goddamn thing in the entire universe. Love is bigger than everyone and harder than anything. You...” He stopped, his eyes moist. “You have to hope and hold on.”

“Where...” That wisdom had come fromsomeone. “Who’d you learn that with?”

“Oh, some guy who likes a little dragon cock up his ass.” He stroked Fazil’s cheek.

Oh. He squirmed. “And you wonder why I mix dirty with romantic.”

“Yeah, well.” He pulled Fazil close. “I think we both need touch to remind us of what’s real—at least between us.”

“I’ve never really thought about that before.” He’d always neededsomecontact. Didn’t have to be sex, but he craved intimacy. Kisses. Cuddles. When he didn’t want those, he knew there were problems.

Todd kissed his forehead.

“For the record, there’snothinglittle about Mr. Dragon.” That thing stretched him so wide. He shivered against Todd. “You didn’t happen to bring him?”

Todd’s laughter shook the bed. “Alas.” Todd quirked an eyebrow. “They do have overnight shipping.”

For a moment, Fazil considered it. Then laughter took him, too. “No, no. I can wait.”

“So you’re saying my dick’s enough?” Todd’s eyes were full of light.

He rolled on top of Todd and slid his cock against Todd’s length. “More than enough.”

Todd’s breathing hitched, Fazil caught his mouth, and they wrapped each other in kisses, touches, and tastes. Todd kneaded Fazil’s ass, fingers dancing over his hole, and they moaned into each other.

In the end, Fazil rode Todd’s cock, his hands tied behind his back with Todd’s tie, while Todd pounded into him relentlessly from below.

Todd was certainly enough. Everything Fazil had ever dreamed. Someone who neededhim. In the afterglow, when he lay sprawled on Todd’s chest, he spoke. “Still not sure how this is going to work.”

Todd stroked his hair. “Z...”

“But I’m going to hold on and hope. Because I love you.”

“I love you, too. Always have.”

Fazil listened to the beating of Todd’s heart, the air moving in and out of his lungs, and closed his eyes.

His heart was here and that was enough.
