“I don’t know,” Theon said. “She’s an excellent liar.”

“That she is,” Luka agreed, callused fingers dragging slowly between the valley of her breasts, down her stomach, lower and lower.

She was battling herself now. Her anger with her need, her hips tilting forward, trying to catch his fingers. But she was so crushed between them, the movement made her grind into Theon’s thigh, andoh.

Luka chuckled darkly, and she realized that sound had escaped her mouth.

Dammit.

“So needy,” he mocked again.

“Says the two insecure males seeking validation,” she snarked back.

They both went too still, and she tensed, both satisfied with herself for pushing them the way they were pushing her, and also wondering what they were going to do about it.

“We’re not the ones with something to prove here, little storm,” Theon finally said, straightening and once more towering over her.

His hand slipped from her throat, and she swallowed the whimper that tried to escape at the distance it put between them. The dark curl of his lips told her he knew though. They both knew everything that was going on in her soul.

“You trust us. We’re yours?” Theon asked curtly.

She nodded.

“Words, Tessa,” he snapped.

“Yes,” she bit out, Luka’s hand now splayed flat on her belly.

“Prove it,” Luka growled low in her ear, those two words so godsdamn sensual she couldn’t help it when she clenched her thighs together.

His hands slid to her hips, grabbing the hem of her shirt and pulling it over her head, leaving her standing in nothing but her undergarments. She was staring up at Theon, his eyes dark with his power, anger, and lust.

Then Luka’s hands were at her shoulders, and he leaned down to speak darkly in her ear once more. “Show him that mouth can do more than tell lies, temptress.”

His hands slipped from her shoulders, their magic pulling away too, leaving her standing alone in the tension-filled air.

This was it.

She knew that.

They were proving a point, and she needed to prove her own. They were hers. Knew what she needed and were willing to do whatever it took to make sure she got it, even if it went against their natural instincts. They were giving her love and freedom and balance. All she wanted was to give them what they needed too.

Prove it.

The words echoed in her soul.

They weren’t asking because they were insecure. She knew they’d stay by her side from now to the end of time. They were asking for her to give them something she’d never give to anyone else.

Control.

Loyalty.

Give it to them, and trust they wouldn’t use it against her.

Never again.

Prove it.

Holding Theon’s stare, she slowly sank to her knees before him. Saw his eyes widen the slightest amount, as though he hadn’t thought she’d choose to do this. Heard the sharp inhale despite his features staying hard and cold.
