“I’m making grilled cheese, or I can make something else if you’d like.”

I hopped up on the counter and shook my head. “Grilled cheese sounds perfect. Were you unable to sleep again?”

Grayson grabbed two more slices of bread. “I slept like the dead, until my stomach woke me.”

“Well, that’s nice. I wonder why.”

He flashed me a wicked grin, one my girly bits always noted. “I wonder why indeed.”

Grayson plated our sandwiches and grabbed an unopened bag of nacho Doritos for me and Fritos for himself. “So, I was thinking,” he said after swallowing a bite.

As I chewed, I narrowed my gaze and let it slide down his bare chest to the gray sweatpants hanging off his hips. “You know what those do to me.” I groaned as my body also took note. “It’s like lingerie for men.”

Grayson chuckled and set his plate aside as he stepped between my legs dangling off the counter. “Move in. Or I’ll move in to your place. I really don’t care which, but I want you in my arms every night and every morning until the day we die.”

“Smooth,” Rita muttered from her spot on the couch.

Setting my plate aside so I wouldn’t drop it, I looked from Grayson to Rita, at one of my paperbacks on the side table, and finally back at him. Ever since Cami had brought up moving in with Grayson, it had been bouncing around the back of my mind.

It wasn’t lost on me that Rita and my things were slowly showing up at his home. First it was my familiar, Grayson insisting he didn’t want me to feel like I’d abandoned her, not that Rita would ever let me. Next, my toiletries had appeared in the bathroom, followed by rows of my books in the library he’d created for me.

I laughed and shook my head. “Do you think I haven’t noticed more of my things popping up around here?”

He shot me big doe eyes. “Oh?”

Rolling my eyes, I playfully smacked his arm. “What if I say I wantyouto move in withme?”

Grayson squeezed my thighs and gently rubbed circles with his thumbs. The touch distracted me momentarily from our discussion.

“Huh?” I muttered, lost in his touch.

He chuckled. “Focus. Well, if you wanted me to move in, then I’d say I’d grab Rita’s things and your books and a few of my own things and be ready to head over in an hour tops.”

His hands slid up my thighs and wrapped around me, then pulled me to the edge. I locked my ankles around his thighs and sighed. “What about Kaleb and Bear? They aren’t going to want me around full time.”

“I know you don’t want to give up the house, and it’s plenty big for them. What if they moved into it?”

“Gray, they are going to hate me if they feel like I got them kicked out of their home.”

He shook his head. “I already talked to them, and they suggested they go to your place to give us privacy.”

“Cami totally talked to them, didn’t she?”

Grayson chuckled. “I’m not sure, but I think so.”

“It’s a real shame she didn’t hit it off romantically with one of them.”

He grinned. “You just want to stick your nose into her love life like she did ours.”

“Absolutely!”

“I can’t help but notice we haven’t talked about your parents in all of this…”

I shrugged. “Nothing to say. They decided they wanted to travel. Sold anything I didn’t want and left the house in my name.”

“Wow? Just like that?”

“Eh, I think everything since Hildy died was too much. It was a good time for them to see the world and not feel like they owed anyone anything.”
