"Yeah." But Todd couldn’t put his finger on why. "Can I hug you?"
"You already are." Ulises chuckled and leaned into him, so their cheeks were pressed together.
Todd tightened his hold on Ulises.
They might have been a similar height, but Ulises was thinner. Todd could feel how slight he was as they hugged.
"Just so you know, I really want to hump your leg like a dog, but I’ll refrain," Ulises whispered. The admission might have been said in jest but there was some truth behind it.
Todd snorted. "I understand and feel the exact same way. You're fire, Magic Man."
"So are you." There was an unspoken 'but' there. Todd felt in the pit of his stomach. Neither of them said it aloud. "This is nice, though."
"Yeah." They worked in some ways, but not in others. It was too early to tell which ways worked and which didn’t. They had attraction and chemistry, though. That much was clear.
"I'm not very dominant in relationships." And there it was. The problem.
"Neither am I. But I'd still like to go on the date. If you do." Todd wanted to get to know Ulises better.
"I'd like to spend time with you too." And Ulises meant it. The smile and the way he put himself out there said as much.
Todd could see what Seryn meant about Ulises being endearing. He was an open book. That much became clear the longer their date lasted.
He worried about them not being compatible. Todd couldn't afford to just see where the night took them. He couldn't afford to overlook how they wanted the same thing in a romantic partner, and it wasn't what the other could give. At least not entirely. So what did that mean for them? Todd didn’t know and he wasn't sure he wanted to risk finding out.
Chapter Fifteen
They ended up making out in the car at the movie theater. The movie was a romantic comedy about divorced parents at their daughter's wedding. The parents hated each other but were stuck on a tropical island together.
Ulises imagined their banter was something similar to what his and Izzy's banter would be like if they were stuck in a tropical paradise. Ulises would hate every minute of it and still manage to fall in love a little at a time. In a perfect world, Izzy would feel the same as Ulises at the same time and they'd have something similar to the couple in the movie. But in Ulises's world nothing was perfect. Not the fuck fest he'd had with Izzy nor the direction his date with Todd was headed.
Despite the obvious way they sort of wanted the same thing in a romantic partner and they couldn't give it to each other.
"Have you had a Daddy before?"
"A Daddy? As in spank me good because I've been bad. That kind of Daddy? I've never been into that." Todd squirmed in the seat, adjusting his cock in his pants, as if the thought made him hard.
Ulises bit his lip to keep from smiling. "Maybe you should explore the lifestyle a bit."
Todd seemed to contemplate it. "You're not a Daddy, are you?"
"No. I'm a boy. I've never had a permanent Daddy, but I've played a few times."
"Do you want a Daddy? Someone steady?"
"I'm looking for a relationship with a Daddy." Ulises turned in the seat. "My profile said as much."
Todd chuckled. "I didn't get past most of the pictures. Your gorgeousness reeled me in."
"That can't be true."
Todd took Ulises' hand and held it, playing with his fingers in an absentminded way. "Well, believe it. I'm not sorry for asking you out but I am for not realizing I can't give you what you need."
"Me too." Ulises slid forward on the seat, moving the box of cookies to the floorboard. "We have chemistry, though, right?"
Todd cupped Ulises’ cheek. "Mad chemistry."
When Todd kissed him, he was expecting it. But getting pulled onto Todd's lap came as a surprise.
