Which was a bit fucked up.
But that was my life here in the Hell Fae Realm.
Actually, it was my life… period. Nothing about my existence had ever been normal or smooth. I’d basically gone from one chaotic experience to the next.
“I was also punishing myself,” Typhos went on. “Taunting myself with something—someone—I couldn’t have.” He cleared his throat. “Some might say I publicly claimed you that day. But I’m pretty sure you’ve been mine since the moment you arrived in my realm.”
“Ours,” Melek corrected as he entered the bathroom with a tray. “I broughtourmate something to eat.” He moved closer, his athletic torso on full display. I eyed his gray sweatpants with interest, the material seeming to fall at just the right place on his hips. “Or maybe she’s hungry for something else?”
“The Source already reenergized her,” Typhos replied. “She could absolutely fuck again.”
My core squeezed as I curled into Typhos’s massive chest. “Coffee first,” I all but begged. Because I could smell the caffeine on Melek’s tray and I very much wanted to dive into that scent.
Typhos chuckled, his fingers combing through my hair. “All right, little one. But my cock stays inside you.”
My stomach warmed with his words, my insides clenching again. His demand should not be as hot as it was, but I appeared to be as insatiable as my mates.
Melek sat beside the tub, the tray on his lap, and handed me the steaming mug. The whipped cream on top had my lips curling. “Irish coffee?” I guessed.
“Courtesy of Ajax,” he replied. “And this”—he slid his hand into his pocket to pull out a necklace—“is from me.”
I eyed the bespelled jewelry, my mind instantly recalling the first one of these he’d given me. As well as the last necklace I’d worn—the one that had sent me to the Virtuous Fae Realm.
“You know, I haven’t had good luck with necklaces since arriving here,” I reminded him. “I’m not sure I want to accept that.”
His lips curled. “This one is different.” He unraveled the chain to show me the key-shaped pendant on the bottom. There were four gems decorating the length of the key, each one winking at me in the low bathroom lighting. “A diamond for me. Sapphire for Ty. Blue tiger’s-eye for Ajax. And a black diamond for Az.”
I stared at the glittering piece framed in yellow gold. “And the magic I sense?”
He shrugged. “It’s covered in our essences. Protection. Love. A promise for the future. A necklace befitting a queen.”
I narrowed my eyes. “That sounds very cryptic, Melek.”
“He’s marking you as ours,” Typhos interjected, sounding amused. “The necklace will tell the realms who has mated you. It’s a sweet but intentional gesture.”
“You can’t keep your cock inside her forever, my king. This seemed like a more practical alternative.”
“I was actually thinking about making her wear that chain dress for eternity instead,” Typhos drawled. “But I suppose this is a kinder alternative. And it ensures no one sees our queen’s finer assets.”
He leaned forward to kiss my neck as I growled in response to his commentary on the chain dress again.
“Calm down, little queen,” he murmured. “You’re making me want to fuck you again.”
“And you’re making me want to kill you,” I told him.
“Would you like me to wear a form of the chain dress to your coronation?” he asked, his mind telling me his question was actually genuine. “I’ll let you make it for me.”
I pulled back to look at him as images rolled through my mind. Sexy images of him in a kilt made of metal. All that sinewy strength on display. A carefully placed chain around his cock, one that tugged when he moved.
Warmth blossomed deep in my belly—a sensation Typhos might have even felt since he was still locked inside me.
But then I thought about how everyone else would see him in those chains, and I frowned. “No.” He wasn’t the only one with a possessive side. Because absolutely not. “You’re not wearing that around other people.”
However, in our suite…I mused, considering what I would do to him with those chains.
His eyebrow arched. “Topping from the bottom again?”
“You gave me the idea,” I pointed out. “And it would be a fun way to punish you…”
