I nodded, ignoring the instant image of her dancing for me. Dangerous thought.

“Even from a helpless old man,” I added, “I’m impressed.”

Her brow arched. “If I told you he tried to grab my ass, would you change your answer?”

I shrugged, sipping my drink. “I’m impressed you didn’t take more. Gotta let a man finish his sentence, Sunshine.”

That earned me a giggle, soft and unguarded.

“You’re funny,” she said with a smile.

I grinned. “I’m a bit of a jokester. Not much of a clown, though.”

“Please make that your catchphrase.” She laughed, and I chuckled with her.

“Maybe I will.”

Her eyes flicked to the clock before she snagged the shot glass from my hand. “My shift’s over,” she murmured, downing the rest.

I tilted my head, stepping closer. “Oh really, Sunshine?”

She nodded, looking up at me with faux innocence that made my blood heat.Fuck… she's gonna make me snap in a second.

“You know… that was my drink.”

"You're rich. I'm sure you'll live," she said, shrugging.

I pushed my sleeves up slightly as I eyed her, slowly caging her into the bar with my hands on either side of the counter. She looked unfazed as she continued "innocently" looking up.

“You’re not wrong,” I rasped. “Only problem is… I’m still thirsty.”

“Seems like a personal problem,” she shot back, eyes glinting. “What are you gonna do about it, Mr. Billionaire?”

We stood there… a few seconds, maybe—but it felt like hours, her gaze locked on mine, both of us stealing glances at each other’s mouths. I started to pull back, before I went too far. I wanted to give her the choice.

But she made it for me.

Her fingers curled in my collar, yanking me down into a kiss that was all fire and no hesitation. I groaned, sliding my hands to her hips, pulling her flush against me as she deepened it.

Pulling her in closer by the waist, I squeezed her hips, her arms looped tight around my neck. When she pulled back, she was smiling like she’d just won.

“Did that quench your thirst?” she teased with fake pity.

I ran my thumb across her bottom lip, smirking. “Not even close, baby.”

“Sorry to hear that.”

“Mm. I know something that will.”

Her brow lifted. “Oh? And what’s that?”

“You and me. Tonight. In an expensive hotel room I know your spoiled little ass will love.”

“Who says I like expensive things?” she challenged, tilting her head.

I chuckled darkly, easing her back against the counter, my hands firm on her waist. “I say you do. And I bet you love it even more when someone spoils you rotten… don’t you?”

She didn’t answer. Just toyed with my collar, gazing up at me.
