"God, I know," he mumbled in her ear. "Me neither."
"And that's why Vic's idea is sounding better by the minute," Joel's chipper voice interrupted from behind them.
With a devilish gleam in his eyes, Joel watched them reluctantly pull apart before reaching out and snagging her by the waist. With anoomphshe found herself pressed just as tightly against Joel's big frame.
"And since you'll already be naked," he pressed on, ignoring Hayden's agitated growl. "Go ahead and put some pillows beneath your hips and sleep with this pretty little ass in the air for me," he instructed, slapping her ass with a stinging pop.
"Joel!" she cried, trying to push away from him.
Ignoring her protest, he kept her locked against him and lowered his mouth to hers possessively. Feeling herself being tilted back in his arms, Sapphire relented in his arms and wrapped her arms around his neck as his tongue worked against hers. "It'll be the first thing I'm gonna eat when I get back," he murmured against her lips.
Her whole body heated in embarrassment as he let her go and stepped back. Reluctantly she turned to see Vic standing in the doorway watching.
Joel tilted his head curiously to the side and looked between them before letting out a deep chuckle. "Don’t be self-conscious, sweetheart. From what he admitted it's nothing he hasn't tasted himself. Or wants to taste again for that matter."
Sapphire didn't have time to reply before she found herself gently shoved in Vic's direction.
Like a trap being sprung, Vic's muscular arms caught her against him, enclosing around her and locking her to him. Tilting her head back she blinked up at him and then at Hayden who only stood and watched with an unreadable face.
"I'm afraid I need more than just a taste," his deep voice purred against her lips.
Lowering his mouth to hers he kissed her so softly she couldn't help but let out a small moan. Expertly his lips worked over hers, his tongue inviting her to his as he kissed her deeply. Sapphire shuddered against him as her body melded into his. The juxtaposition of hard and softness, need and command was all a heady mixture. She loved it. Sinking deeper into his kiss, she could feel the eyes of the other two men watching and her sex pulsed. Being passed back and forth from one man to the next so openly was doing chaotic things to her senses. She wanted them to continue. Wanted them to do more to her. Needed them to share her.
"Well, a taste is all you're getting now," Hayden interrupted with his hand on Vic’s shoulder, pulling him back from her and leaving her drunk off desire.
Piercing Vic with a stare, Hayden forced the man to take a step away from her. "Come on. And this time you're comingwithus. I know what you do when I turn my back on you."
Helplessly frustrated, she watched her Heathens walk away.
Sapphire opened her eyes and blinked at the pale muscular back lying next to her. Still under the heavy effects of sleep, she frowned as she tried to think of what happened last night. As instructed, she had slept in Hayden's bed naked but as far as she knew nothing happened.
Staring at the ceiling she reminded herself for the fifth time to buy one of those ceiling projecting clocks. While it had its definite advantages, sleeping in the middle of the bed certainly had its downsides. Like not being able to see her phone plugged into the nightstand for one. And not being able to see the time on the alarm clock.
Looking down, Sapphire's frown deepened at the sight of the t-shirt she was wearing. She did not remember putting that on.
A heavy rumble sounded from over her head and she tilted her head back on the pillow and listened. Rain pelted at the glass window above her head. The light storm the weather app on her phone predicted last night sounded much heavier than the brief shower that was forecasted.
Turning to her left, Sapphire smiled at Hayden's tired figure. With one arm slung over his eyes, his big chest lifted and fell with a steady rhythm as he slept. Expertly, she carefully removed herself from the covering and slid almost soundlessly out of the bed. The cool air on her exposed bottom made her pause. Okay so the shirt, a beer branded merchandise shirt from the bar no less, was somehow the only article of clothing she ended up mysteriously wearing.
Using the tips of her fingers, Sapphire carefully and silently opened one of Hayden's dresser drawers and pulled out a black pair of boxers that were folded into a neat square amongst the rest. Slipping them on she ignored the unspoken insult that they were a little tight around her waist.
"In-shape bastards," she muttered under her breath.
Outside the room, she exhaled freely. After using the downstairs bathroom and brushing her teeth, she walked into the large living area. The room was much darker than usual. Glancing at the clock on the wall, she went over to the couch and kneeled on the soft cushion to pull back the privacy curtain. Outside the rain fell in a relentless downpour turning the world into grayscale.
Leaning back from the curtain, she turned and pulled her laptop that was sitting on the coffee table closer. With a few swipes and clicks of the mousepad, she was on her university’s page and navigating to her class's notification board. Unsurprisingly she read the yellow banner that announced in-person classes were canceled and to refer to the online PowerPoint.
Sapphire relaxed back onto the couch with a contented sigh. Now her day was suddenly free. The weather outside was depressingly dismal, to say the least. She could practically feel her energy leave her body at the thought of doing anything other than lounging all day.
The loud creak at the stairs made her jump in her seat.
Standing with his shirt partially over his head as if he stopped midway from pulling it on, Vic held up both hands with an apologetic smile.
"Oh my god," Sapphire gasped. She leaned back heavily against the cushions and took a huge breath. "You scared the hell out of me. I didn’t know you were here," she whispered.
Vic stepped down from the last step, pulling his shirt down. He gave her a sleepy smile that only made her heart beat faster.
"I'm sorry," he chuckled as he came to sit on the couch next to her. "When we got back this morning, we didn't see the point in me going back to the farm just to come back over later."
